Bokhdaleka phrenic hernia (V. A. Bochdaiek, Czech anatomist, 1801-1883; Greek diaphragma – a partition) – the phrenic hernia observed most often on the left side caused by an underdevelopment of the muscular layer of a diaphragm which is localized in the field of a lumbocostal triangle.
