Botkina-Erba point

Botkina-Erba point (S. P. Botkin, domestic therapist, 1832-1889; W. N of Erb, German doctor, 1840-1921; synonyms: The Erba a point, the fifth point of auscultation of heart, Botkina a point) – area of a surface of a front chest wall between the left parasternal and sternal lines in the IV mezhreberye in which a number of auskultativny manifestations of insufficiency of the aortal valve (protodiastolic noise) is especially clearly listened of mitral heart diseases (a mitral click, etc.) and functional systolic noise are fixed.
