Hemadsorption

Hemadsorption (Greek haima – blood + lat. ad – on + lat. sorbeo – I absorb) – ability of the cells infected with some viruses which are (preferential hemagglutinating) to fix erythrocytes on the surface; the phenomenon of hemadsorption is applied, for example, at diagnosis of smallpox.
