Hepatitis infectious (hepatitis infectiosa; Greek hzpar, hzpatos – a liver + lat. it (словообраз. a suffix) – inflammatory process; synonyms: hepatitis A, Botkina disease, hepatitis epidemic; outdate – jaundice virus, jaundice epidemic, jaundice catarral) – a viral hepatitis, different, most often, the acute beginning of a disease with fervescence, and also the incubation interval lasting 3-6 weeks with preferential fecal and oral mechanism of transmission of infection.
