Venipuncture

Venipuncture (venaepunctio; lat. vena – a vein, a vein + lat. punctio – a prick; synonym: a venipuncture) – the introduction to a vein of a hollow needle which is carried out through skin for injection of liquid in a gleam of a vein or extraction of blood.
