Vesicle

Vesicle (Latin vesicula diminutive from vesica – a bubble; synonym: a bubble) – primary morphological element of rash representing the bubble (in the diameter up to 5 mm) filled with serous exudate.

Types of vesicles:

  • Intra epidermal (intraepidermalis) – the vesicle located in epidermis, arising owing to intercellular hypostasis;
  • Smallpox (variolaris) – the vesicle forming from a smallpox papule at natural smallpox represents the bubble containing transparent liquid of the size of a pea, pearl color, with impression in the center;
  • Subhorn (subcornealis) – a vesicle intra epidermal, being under a corneous layer of epidermis;
  • Subepidermal (subepidermalis) – the vesicle located under epidermis, forming owing to hypostasis of a papillary layer of a derma.
