General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 0,5 mg of melanin, 50 mg of a biyen.

Drug which has photoprotective, antiinflammatory, dermatoprotektorny action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The main active ingredient of drug is melanin — the pigment of the polyphenolic nature received in the microbiological way. Melanin is characterized by a wide range of biological activity, possesses the phototyre-tread, anti-mutagen, immunomodulatory, antiinflammatory, expressed antioxidant action.

Phototyre-tread activity of melanin is defined by effective absorption of electromagnetic radiation in ultra-violet area of a range (UFA = 320 — 400 nanometers; UFV = 280 — 320 nanometers and UFS = 200 — 280 nanometers).

Drug interferes with adverse action of Uv-radiation on DNA and highly effectively inhibits UF-indutsirovannoye peroxide oxidation of lipids; thanks to existence of the shielding action protects integuments from adverse action of ultraviolet.

Biyen (complex of ethyl ethers of polyunsaturated fatty acids) has antiinflammatory, dermatoprotektorny effect, stimulates reparative processes. The emulsion basis provides the softening and hydrating effects.

Ointment of melanin of 0,05% possesses complex treatment-and-prophylactic photoprotective action. Promotes reduction of weight of skin manifestations of pathological process after UF-radiation. Eliminates an erythema, an itch, burning, a peeling and infiltration in the defeat centers, normalizes skin temperature, recovers initial parameters of an integument.

Ointment of melanin of 0,05% is almost non-toxical, does not cause irritation of skin at repeated applications, is well absorbed, easily is removed from the surface of skin and does not change its color.

Pharmacokinetics. The maximum concentration of melanin in blood is observed in 1 hour after ointment application. Melanin a long time keeps on the surface of skin and collects in it, providing the prolonged photoprotective action of drug. No more than 5% of the total quantity which is contained in melanin ointment come to a system blood stream.

Indications to use:

Ointment of melanin of 0,05% is applied as the treatment-and-prophylactic photoprotectant at patients with a diskoidny lupus erythematosus, photodermatites, solar eczema, a prurigo, a small tortoiseshell, a late skin porphyria, a pellagra. Drug is effective at patients with vitiligo at sunblisters on the depigmented sites of skin.

Route of administration and doses:

Ointment of melanin of 0,05% inflict a thin layer on a zone of the centers defeats and slightly rub. Applications carry out within 28 — 32 days of 4 — 5 times a day.

With the preventive purpose drug is applied with a thin layer on healthy skin in the zones which are plunged to influence of sunshine.

Side effects:

As a rule, side effects at use of ointment of melanin of 0,05% are not observed. Short-term strengthening of an itch and burning, a moderate hyperemia are in some cases possible. At emergence of side effects it is necessary to stop use of drug on 1 — 2 day; to appoint the antihistaminic and desensibilizing drugs. After the termination of an itch, burning in the center of defeat it is possible to continue topical administration of ointment.

Safety of use of drug at pregnancy and feeding by a breast is not established.

Interaction with other medicines:

Ointment of melanin of 0,05% does not cause negative reactions at combined use with ascorbic acid, an aloe, FIBS, B1, B6 vitamins, Unithiolum, antihistaminic drugs, hormonal (corticosteroid) drugs, niacin, methionine.

Drug reduces phototoxic action of antibiotics of a tetracycline row.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance, eczema in an aggravation stage with the phenomena a moknutiya; syphilitic damages of skin, tuberculosis cutis, viral diseases of skin, mycotic diseases of skin.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose it is not established.
