RINGERA SOLUTION - LOCKE

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 l contains sodium of chloride 9,0 g, potassium of chloride of 0,2 g, Calcii chloridum of 0,2 g, Natrii hydrocarbonas of 0,2 g, glucose of 1,0 g;
 
excipients: water for injections.
 
Main physical and chemical properties: transparent, colourless solution.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ringer's solution - Locke contains the balanced (isotonic) mix of the main cations (Na+, K+, Sa +, Sl-, NSO3-) blood in the concentration corresponding for it and is more physiological in comparison with 0,9% isotonic solution of sodium of chloride.
 
Administration of solution of Ringer - Locke recovers water-salt balance and fills the shortage of liquid in a human body arising at its dehydration or in connection with accumulation of extracellular liquid in the centers of extensive burns and injuries, band operations, peritonitis. Ringer's solution - Locke reduces aggregation of uniform elements and viscosity of blood, improves its rheological properties and perfusion of fabrics, interfering with development of irreversible changes in fabrics and increasing efficiency of hemotransfusionic actions at massive blood losses and severe forms of shock.
 
Ringer's solution - Locke has also disintoxication effect as a result of decrease in concentration of toxic products in blood and activation of a diuresis.
 
Pharmacokinetics. It was not studied.

Indications to use:

The expressed dehydration of various origin (the infectious diseases which are followed by long diarrhea and pernicious vomiting), acute massive blood losses, shock, extensive burns, heavy current of the postoperative period, toxic poisonings of various etiology. Ringer's solution - Locke is applied also outwardly as disintoxication cure for various diseases of eyes, a nose, mucous membranes, to washing of wounds.

Route of administration and doses:

Intravenously Ringer's solution - Locke is appointed kapelno, with a speed of 4-8 ml/kg/h, in volume from 50 ml to 3 l, depending on weight of diseases and efficiency of the carried-out rehydration and disintoxication therapy. Rektalno drug is appointed the adult on 75-100 ml. For washing of eyes, a nose, wounds use sterile solution.

Features of use:

At prolonged use, especially in large volumes, control the content of electrolytes (in plasma, urine) and a diuresis.

Side effects:

Use of Solution of Ringer - Locke in large numbers can lead to development of chloride acidosis, overhydratation. At such complications reduce a dose or cancel drug.

Interaction with other medicines:

Ringer's solution - Locke is appointed along with hemotransfusions, blood plasma transfusions for increase in efficiency of disintoxication and rehydration therapy.

Contraindications:

Intravenous administration of solution of Ringer - Locke contraindicated at thrombophlebitises, states with the increased coagulability of blood, the expressed disturbance of secretory function of kidneys, at dekompensirovanny heart diseases. The drug should not be administered at the circulator disturbances fraught with wet brain and lungs, at a hyperchloremia, a hypernatremia, an overhydratation, a metabolic alkalosis.

Overdose:

It was not observed.

Storage conditions:

To store at the room temperature, in the unavailable to children and protected from light place. A period of validity - 2 years.
