Description:
Skin atrophy (Greek , lat. atrophia — I starve, I grow thin, I wither) — the irreversible change of skin which is characterized by reduction of its volume, and also qualitative changes of its fabric, especially elastic fibers.
Skin Atrophy symptoms:
Physiological atrophy of skin:
The physiological atrophy develops as a result of age involution of an organism — a senile atrophy of skin. At the same time are observed (preferential on open sites) thinning and loss of elasticity of skin, it becomes dry, easily gathers in folds which long do not finish, formed wrinkles; skin gains reddish or nacreous-white color, through it the venous network appears through.
Pathological atrophy:
The pathological atrophy of skin results from disturbance of metabolism in skin and decreases of the activity of cytoplasmatic enzymes. The pathological atrophy can be primary and secondary, inborn and acquired, diffusion and limited.
* primary atrophy
Primary atrophy of skin is more often noted at women. Development of an atrophy can be promoted by endocrine shifts in an organism (for example, at pregnancy, obesity, etc.) and TsNS diseases. Atrophic process can be diffusion, disseminated and limited. At diffusion process extensive sites of skin, for example, skin of upper and lower extremities are surprised at an atrophic chronic acrodermatitis. In case of the disseminated process atrophic sites of skin up to several centimeters in size are scattered on not changed skin, at the same time they can sink down or act gryzhepodobno over surrounding healthy skin (anetoderma).
* secondary atrophy
The secondary atrophy of skin develops usually on site the previous damage of skin at various diseases (a leprosy, tuberculosis, syphilis, a lupus erythematosus, a favus, etc.).
Skin Atrophy reasons:
- Aging of skin
- A dermatomyositis (an acquired disease of connecting fabric which is characterized by weakness of muscles, skin rashes)
- Diskoidny red volyochanka
- Deprive sclerous and atrophic (the rare disease affecting skin and mucous; the reason of emergence is unknown)
- Limited scleroderma
- Lipoid necrobiosis diabetic (skin manifestations at a diabetes mellitus)
- Beam dermatitis
- Striya (atrophic poyolosa of a tension)
- Reaction to use of leyokarstvo (topical and vnutyoriochagovy steroids)
Treatment of the Atrophy of skin:
Now treatment of an atrophy of skin is not developed.
