Distreptasum

General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical characteristics: suppositories have an appearance unilaterally of the pointed cylinder, a cone or the torpedo weighing 2 g ± 0,1 g, white and cream color;
 
Active agents: 1 suppository includes Streptokinasas 15000 ME, streptodornases 1250 ME;
other components: paraffin oil, витепсоль H15.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug includes two active substances: Streptokinasa and streptodornase. Streptokinasa is the plasminogen proenzyme activator that contains in blood of the person and under the influence of Streptokinasa turns into plasmin which has property to dissolve clots.
 
The streptodornase is enzyme which has ability to dissolve the sticky mass of nucleoproteins, dead cells or pus, not influencing at the same time living cells and their physiological functions.
 
Drug facilitates access of antibiotics or chemotherapeutic means to the inflammation center.

Pharmacokinetics. It was not studied.

Indications to use:

Treatments of chronic inflammations of appendages, postoperative infiltrative defeats of bodies of a small pelvis, inflammations of a mucous membrane of a uterus, to hemorrhoids at an acute and chronic current, pararectal abscesses and fistulas with big inflammatory infiltrate, purulent caudal cysts.

Route of administration and doses:

To get suppository from a mold of the blister and to enter deeply into a rectum.
 
The dosage depends on a look and intensity of inflammatory process.
 
At a severe disease at adults:
 
on 1 suppository of Distreptaza 3 times a day during the first three days;
 
on 1 suppository 2 times a day during the next three days;
 
on 1 suppository a day within three more next days.

At medium-weight and to a lung the course of a disease at adults:
 
on 1 suppository 2 times a day during the first three days;
 
on 1 suppository of 1 times a day during the next four days,
 
or
 
on 1 suppository 2 times a day within 2 days.
 
On average on a course of treatment 8-18 suppositories are used.
 
The course of treatment proceeds on average 7-10 days.

Features of use:

Experience of use of drug for children is absent.

Distreptasum does not influence ability to manage vehicles and to work with mechanisms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, fervescence, and also tendency to bleedings can sometimes be observed.

Interaction with other medicines:

The inflammation strengthens penetration of antibiotics, chemotherapeutic drugs into a source.

Contraindications:

Drug should not adjoin to the wound covered with a fresh scab or to a fresh seam as it can cause relaxation of seams and, as a result, bleeding from a wound. Pregnancy and lactation.

Overdose:

Symptoms of overdose are unknown.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 2 °C – 8 °C (in the refrigerator), in the place, unavailable to children. Not to freeze.
Period of validity – 2 years. Not to apply after the termination of a period of validity which it is specified on packaging.
