General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 3 g of L-ornithine of L-aspartate in 5 g of granules.

Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, fragrance lemon, fragrance orange, sodium saccharinate (sodium saccharin), sodium cyclomate, dye sunset yellow, polyvinylpirrolidone (povidone), fructose (levuloza).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Reduces the increased ammonia level in an organism, in particular at liver diseases. Effect of drug is connected with its participation in an ornitinovy cycle of a mochevinoobrazovaniye of Krebs (an ureapoiesis from ammonia). Promotes production of insulin and somatotropic hormone. Improves protein metabolism at the diseases demanding parenteral food.

Pharmacokinetics. Ornithine aspartate dissociates on the components making it — amino acids ornithine and aspartate which are soaked up in a small bowel by active transport through an intestinal epithelium. It is removed with urine through a mochevinoobrazovaniye cycle.

Indications to use:

• the acute and chronic diseases of a liver accompanied with a giperammoniyemiya;
• hepatic encephalopathy (latent and expressed).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside on one bag of the granules dissolved in 200 ml of liquid, 2–3 times a day after food.

Features of use:

At diagnosis hepatic encephalopathy because of a basic disease it is necessary to observe the increased care during the driving of motor transport and occupation other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, are in some cases possible nausea and vomiting.

Interaction with other medicines:

 It is not described.

Contraindications:

The expressed renal failure at a creatinine indicator more than 3 mg / 100 ml, hypersensitivity to drug components, the lactation period.

Overdose:
