General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: Dextrosum, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium citrate.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Recovers the water and electrolytic balance broken at organism dehydration, adjusts acidosis.

Indications to use:

In complex therapy: recovery of water and electrolytic balance, correction of acidosis at acute diarrheas (including cholera), heatstroke. In the preventive purposes — thermal and exercise stresses (intensive sweating — 750 g/h and more), considerable moisture loss (over 4 kg for the working day). In cases of desalting, dangerous to an organism, at decrease in concentration of chlorides in urine it is lower than 2 g/l.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, irrespective of meal. Before the use contents of packages are dissolved in boiled water with a temperature of 35-40 °C. For the medical purposes the package containing 2,39 g is dissolved in 100 ml, and containing 11,95 g — in 0,5 l, 23,9 g — in 1 l.

At use with the preventive purpose contents of packages are dissolved respectively in 200 ml, 1 and 2 l of water. At diarrhea — every 3-5 min. in the portions on 50–100 ml or enter via the nazogastralny probe during 3–5 h. To newborns and children of younger age — on 1–2 h a spoon each 5–10 min. during 4–6 h. Total quantity of solution at the easy course of diarrhea makes 40–50 ml/kg/days, at moderately severe — 80–100 ml/kg/days. The approximate volume of solution for a maintenance therapy — 80–100 ml/kg/days, before the termination of diarrhea and recovery of water and electrolytic exchange.

At thermal spasms, etc. the disturbances of water and electrolytic exchange connected with overheating and anesthesia (a polyuria, a drinking disease) — fractional portions, on 100–150 ml, from 500 to 900 ml of solution within the first 30 min. Every 40 min. administration of drug in the same quantity repeats before elimination of symptoms of thermal defeat and water and electrolytic deficit.

For prevention of water and electrolytic disturbances at extreme thermal and exercise stresses reception should be begun with small drinks at emergence of thirst and to stop in process of its satisfying.

Features of use:

The prepared solutions can be stored no more than 24 h at a temperature of +40 °C.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 15-25 °C, in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. To store the made solution in the refrigerator (from 2 °C to 8 °C) and to accept before the expiration of 24 hours after production. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging.
