Формагель®

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 37 mg of formalin (a semi-finished product solution of 37%) (in terms of formaldehyde).

Excipients: methyl cellulose (methyl cellulose water-soluble), the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Suppresses function of sweat glands irrespective of their secretion, has disinfecting and antiseptic effect.

Indications to use:

The increased perspiration of any origin.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. With the increased perspiration (soles, palms, interdigital folds) after a hygienic shower and drying of Formagel® apply with a thin layer for 30-40 min. on sites of skin. Then drug is washed away warm water. (Axillary hollows and palms at women) drug need to be applied with a thin layer for the term of no more than 20 min. on gentle sensitive skin. After that skin should be washed up carefully warm water without detergents and to powder talc or children's powder.

After shaving of axillary hollows of Formagel® it is possible to put not earlier than in a day. An expense on one use – about 4 g. One procedure is enough to reduce perspiration of skin for 7-12 days. At sharply expressed perspiration the procedure is carried out by 2-3 days in a row. If necessary use of Formagelya® can be repeated.

Features of use:

Not to allow hit of drug on mucous membranes and in eyes.

At their accidental hit it is necessary to wash out plentifully water.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions. At long use – a xeroderma. In this case use of Formagelya® is temporarily stopped.

In case of emergence on site of drawing irritation (reddening, burning, swelled) it is eliminated with greasing of skin with any corticosteroid cream or ointment 1-2 times a day or putting suspension Tsindol several times a day before elimination of irritation.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not registered.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to formaldegidsoderzhashchy connections, including to formalin, inflammatory diseases of skin. Children's age up to 16 years.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity - 5 years. Not to use after a period of validity. To store at a temperature from 18 to 22 °C, in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Gel for external use of 3,7% in tubas on 10 and 15 g or in bottles polymeric on 45 g. The tuba or a bottle together with the instruction on a medical use are placed in a pack from a cardboard.
