General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 0,75 g of potassium of chloride, 1,3 g of sodium of chloride, 1,45 g of sodium of citrate, 6,75 g of glucose anhydrous

Excipients: potassium to atsesulfa, lemon fragrance.

The balanced glyukozo-saline solution for recovery of water and electrolytic balance.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Solution of drug is applied to a correcting of losses of electrolytes and liquid at diarrhea. Glucose promotes absorption of salts, citrates help to correct balance at a metabolic acidosis. Drug solution Regidron Optim according to WHO recommendations has reduced osmolarity which makes 245 ¼Äß¼/l, рН - alkalescent.

Pharmacokinetics. The pharmacokinetics of water, the electrolytes and glucose which are a part of drug Regidron Optim corresponds to natural pharmacokinetics of these substances in an organism.

Indications to use:

Recovery of water and electrolytic balance, correction of acidosis at acute diarrhea (including cholera), diarrheas with easy or average degree of dehydration, at the thermal defeats connected with disturbances of water and electrolytic exchange.

In the preventive purposes: the thermal and exercise stresses leading to intensive sweating.

Route of administration and doses:

For internal use.
Solution is accepted orally or entered under supervision of the doctor via the nazogastralny probe. Solution preparation: powder of 1 bag is dissolved in 0,5 l of the boiled, cooled to room temperature water. Ready solution should be accepted after each liquid emptying, small drinks.
Treatment of slight and moderate dehydration: the dose of drug depends on the body weight of the patient and a measure of dehydration and makes 50-100 ml of solution of drug on body weight kg. For treatment of dehydration in 4 hours the dose can make 40-80 ml/kg of body weight. At the subsequent dehydration it is necessary to accept additional doses. For elimination of deficit of liquid in an organism Regidron Optim it is necessary to accept within 4 hours.
Adults and children at slight and moderate dehydration should accept drug according to the data provided to the table:

At nausea and vomiting it is reasonable to accept the cooled solution the small, repeated doses. Features of use:

Drug is used orally, using water for its preparation.

Regidron Optim apply with care in cases of impassability of an intestinal path, a renal failure in the period of an oliguria or an anury, in cases of parenteral rehydration therapy or at pernicious vomiting.

Diarrhea can change balance of liquid and sugar at patients with a diabetes mellitus, a renal failure and other chronic diseases therefore such patients should use drug with care.

Regidron Optim contains potassium (0,41 g on 0,5 l of solution) that it is necessary to take into account at solution use by patients with reduced function of kidneys which are on a diet with potassium use control.

Drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast is allowed for use in the recommended doses. It is possible to continue feeding by a breast so much how many it is necessary, even during a peroral regidratation.

Drug does not influence speed of response at control of motor transport and work with other mechanisms.

Side effects:

Patients with normal function of kidneys have a risk of emergence of a hypernatremia or an overhydratation at drug use Regidron Optim is low. Developing of vomiting is possible that demonstrates too bystry administration of drug.

Interaction with other medicines:

Information on interaction Regidrona Optim with other drugs does not exist. Absorption of medicines can be changed at diarrhea.

Contraindications:

Hemodynamic shock, loss of consciousness.

Overdose:

At patients with reduced function of kidneys emergence of a hypernatremia and hyperpotassemia is possible.

Storage conditions:

To store at the room temperature (15-25 °C) in the place, unavailable to children.
To store ready solution in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2-8 °C within 24 hours.
