Symptoms of the Paroxysmal dysarthtia:
The paroxysmal dysarthtia is observed in the form of separate attacks which usually last less than 1 minute, but can repeat to several times a day. At some patients these attacks are provoked by nervousness or a hyperventilation. The dysarthtia can reach such expressed degree that the speech of the patient becomes completely illegible. At the patients suffering from a dysarthtia such accompanying symptoms as a diplopia, numbness or weakness can be observed.
Reasons of the Paroxysmal dysarthtia:
The paroxysmal dysarthtia to be observed at multiple sclerosis and other neurologic diseases.
Treatment of the Paroxysmal dysarthtia:
Almost always the good medical effect renders carbamazepine, but some patients react only to Phenytoinum or acetazoleamide.
