Diamond green

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 10 mg or 20 mg of diamond green.

Excipients: the alcohol of ethyl 60% (prepared from the alcohol rectified 96,3% from food raw materials and the water purified).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Antiseptic drug - is active concerning gram-positive bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics. Does not get through the unimpaired skin. When drawing on the injured skin it is soaked up in microquantities.

Indications to use:

Fresh postoperative and posttraumatic hems, meibomitis (barley), blepharitis, pyoderma, grazes, cuts, disturbances of integrity of integuments.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly, apply directly on the damaged surface, taking surrounding healthy fabrics.

Features of use:

Special precautionary measures are not required.

Use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation is allowed. It is not necessary to allow hits on mucous membranes as the alcohol which is contained in drug can cause burns, strong irritation.

Activity of medicine significantly decreases in the presence of blood serum.

Side effects:

Burning in a site of application, at hit on a mucous membrane of an eye − burning, dacryagogue.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is incompatible with the disinfectants containing active iodine, chlorine, alkalis (including ammonia solution).

At simultaneous use with the medicines for external use containing organic compounds can denature proteins, form new connections.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Overdose:

The overdose phenomena at use diamond green are not described so far.

Storage conditions:

List B. At a temperature not above 25 ºC. To protect from sunshine. To store in the place, not available to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use medicine on expiry date.
