General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 300 mg of dry extract of a grass of the St. John's Wort which is made a hole (3-7:1).

Excipients: ascorbic acid - 6 mg, cellulose microcrystallic - 144 mg, starch corn - 40 mg, croscarmellose sodium - 30 mg, silicon dioxide colloid - 5 mg, magnesium stearate - 5 mg.

Structure of a cover: a gipromelloza (5mpz) - 7 mg, a gipromelloza (15mpz) - 7 mg, a macrogoal of 4000 - 6 mg, lactoses monohydrate - 4.92 mg, vanillin - 433 mkg, sodium saccharinate - 37 mkg, ferrous oxide yellow (E172) - 1.8 mg, titanium dioxide (E171) - 3.6 mg, talc - 1.2 mg, a penogasyashchy emulsion - 10 mkg.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug of a plant origin, contains dry extract of a grass of the St. John's Wort which is made a hole in quality of active component. Has antidepressive, anxiolytic and sedative effect.

Favorably influences a functional state central and the autonomic nervous system. It is supposed that drug is capable to oppress activity, mainly, of MAO of A type and somewhat - MAO of V type. Bioflavonoids contact benzodiazepine receptors and have sedative effect.

Drug improves mood, promotes increase in mental and physical effeciency, normalizes a dream.

The antidepressive effect is caused by ability to inhibit the return serotonin reuptake, adrenaline and dopamine.

Pharmacokinetics. Extract of a grass of the St. John's Wort which is made a hole contains a large amount of biologically active agents which in total define its pharmacological activity. Therefore data on pharmacokinetics of the separate chemical components which are a part of extract are insufficient for extrapolation on drug in general.

Indications to use:

Depressions easy and moderate severity, followed by the following symptoms:
— the suppressed mood;
— apathy;
— decrease in working capacity.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 12 years are more senior appoint 1 tablet of 3 times/days (corresponds to a daily dose of 900 mg of extract of a grass of the St. John's Wort which is made a hole).

Pill should be taken without chewing, at the same time to wash down with enough water, irrespective of meal. It is impossible to take a pill in a prone position. If administration of drug was missed, the subsequent reception it should be carried out in the usual mode. For achievement of the expressed relief of symptoms of a disease drug should be accepted within 4-6 weeks.

If as a result of use of drug within 4 weeks symptoms do not pass or, despite observance of instructions, there is a deterioration, then it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Features of use:

At Neyroplant's reception it is necessary to avoid long stay in the sun, in a sunbed, under ultra-violet light.

Use in pediatrics. The Neyroplant children should not apply 12 years as there are no sufficient data on use of this drug for children are younger.

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms. It is necessary to be careful at control of vehicles and occupations other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

- allergic reactions: a skin itch, skin rash, eczema, a xanthopathy, a photosensitization (is more often at HIV-positive patients).

- from TsNS: concern, fatigue.

- from the alimentary system: nausea, an abdominal pain (including in epigastric area), a meteorism, diarrhea or a lock, anorexia.

Interaction with other medicines:

Interaction with the following drugs can cause decrease in their efficiency: anticoagulants of a coumarinic row (for example, фенпрокумон, warfarin), cyclosporine, такролимус, digoxin, индинавир and other inhibitors of proteases applied at patients AIDS, иринотекан, иматиниб and other cytostatic means, amitriptyline, нортриптилин, midazolam, theophylline, other antidepressants.

The drugs containing St. John's Wort grass extract can accelerate metabolism of the medicines which are metabolized with the participation of an isoenzyme 3A4 of P450 cytochrome. It can weaken and/or reduce effect of drug.

In case of a concomitant use of some antidepressants (нефазодон, пароксетин, sertraline), strengthening of effect of these drugs can be observed. In some cases such side effects as nausea, vomiting, concern, confusion can be more expressed ("a serotoninovy syndrome").

The concomitant use with the photosensitizing means can lead to strengthening of a photosensitization. In case of the accompanying treatment by other medicines causing a photosensitization strengthening of phototoxic effect is theoretically possible.

The concomitant use with oral contraceptives can weaken their action and lead to intermenstrual bleedings.

Increases antidepressive effect of MAO inhibitors, at the same time increases risk of development of hypertensive crises (not to accept along with antidepressants (MAO inhibitors), the interval between reception has to be not less than 14 days).

When sharing with fluoxetine, paroksetiny, sertraline, fluvoksaminy or tsitalopramy can strengthen hemolitic reactions and a current of "a serotoninovy syndrome" (the increased sweating, a tremor, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, a headache, pain in epigastriums, concern, alarm, a condition of confusion, confusion, feeling of concern and irritability).

Drug is capable to strengthen the photosensitizing effect of other medicines: tetracyclines, streptocides, thiazide diuretics, hinolon, piroxicam and others.

Before planned operation it is necessary to define possible interaction with the drugs used during the general and local anesthesia. If it is necessary, it is necessary to stop reception of vegetable medicine.

Reduces concentration of cyclosporine in blood.

Reduces concentration in blood and efficiency of therapy indinaviry.

Contraindications:

— the established skin photosensitization;
— depression of heavy degree;.
— children's age up to 12 years;
— rare hereditary intolerance of a galactose, insufficiency of lactase and sprue of glucose galactose;
— concomitant use of other medicines (индинавир and other inhibitors of proteases; cyclosporine, иринотекан, digoxin, theophylline, warfarin and other anticoagulants; antiepileptic means, antidepressants, including MAO inhibitors, triptanes (antagonists of serotoninovy 5-HT1-retseptorov), oral contraceptives);
— hypersensitivity to active or other components of drug.

Use of drug NEYROPLANT at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Due to the lack so far sufficient data of researches, drug is not recommended to be used at pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Overdose:

In case of chronic intoxication it is necessary to avoid ultraviolet radiation within 1-2 weeks.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 30 °C.
