Mucaltinum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 tablet contains Mucaltinum 50 mg,
Excipients: calcium stearate, Natrii hydrocarbonas, tartaric acid.

Pharmacological properties:

Мукалтин®– an effective expectorant which action is caused by sekretolitichesky and broncholitic properties. Drug has moderate antibechic effect, reduces quantity of fits of coughing and their intensity. Has the softening and antiinflammatory and enveloping properties. Normalizes the changed bronchopulmonary secretion, improves expectoration: reduces its viscosity and adhesive properties, facilitates advance of a phlegm from the respiratory tracts, lower in upper parts, and its expectoration.

Indications to use:

Cough at acute respiratory diseases: bronchitis, pneumonia, a bronchoectatic disease, bronchial asthma, a pulmonary tuberculosis with the phenomena of nonspecific bronchitis.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 12 years are more senior appoint 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day to food. Single doses for children, depending on age, make: 1-3 years – 1 tablet, 3-12 years – 1-2 tablets. At use it is desirable for children to dissolve in 1/3 glasses of warm water, at desire having added sugar or fruit syrup. A course of treatment – from 7 days to 1-2 months, depending on a disease form.

Features of use:

At patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of lungs in an initiation of treatment of Mukaltinom® viscosity of a phlegm at the expense of department of the phlegm which collected in a bronchial tree and containing a large number of a detritis, proteins and inflammatory elements can sometimes increase. Therefore at diffusion damage of bronchial tubes, considerable changes of physical and chemical properties of a phlegm and decrease in mukotsiliarny transport therapy of Mukaltinom® needs to be combined with purpose of mucolytic peraparat (a bromgeskin and others).
Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Experience of use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast is absent.
Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other dangerous mechanisms. Drug does not influence control of motor transport or work with other dangerous mechanisms.
Children. Drug is used to children aged 1 years are more senior.

Side effects:

Emergence of allergic reactions in the form of a small tortoiseshell, a skin itch is in certain cases possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

At the moment data about medicinal interactions of Mukaltina® are absent. Not to appoint odnovlremenno with the drugs oppressing cough (codeine). Мукалтин® it is possible to accept at the same time with others antibechic and expectorants.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Mucaltinum or to other components of drug.

Overdose:

At use of the specified therapeutic doses of drug the overdose is impossible. At prolonged use or exceeding of the specified doses there can be nausea and vomiting. Therapy – symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity 4 years. To store in original packaging at a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
