Pharmacological properties:
Октенисепт possesses a wide range of antimicrobic, fungicidal and virulitsidny action due to hydrophobic interaction of an oktenidin of dihydrochloride and phenoxyethanol with cytoplasmic membranes of pathogenic microorganisms. The range of antimicrobic action covers spore-forming and asporogenic microflora, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (aerobic and anaerobic), mushrooms, viruses, mycoplasmas, ureaplasmas. There is no resistance at short-term or long use of Oktenisept. Drug has no toxic effect and is not soaked up through a mucous membrane, skin and wound surfaces. Destroys microorganisms, without damaging a cell of fabrics. Use of drug promotes healing of wounds, burns due to immunomodulatory action. Oktenidina dihydrochloride is not adsorbed by skin or mucous membranes. Fenoksietanol is adsorbed in insignificant quantities and allocated with kidneys in the form of phenoxy-acetic acid.
Indications to use:
Antiseptic processing of mucous membranes and the fabrics adjoining to it, skin. Processing of wound surfaces (including umbilical wounds of newborns, purulent wounds in surgical and obstetric practice), decubituses, ulcers (including gangrenous), processing of a surgery field to, in process and after carrying out surgical, diagnostic and other manipulations; at injuries (including changes), burns (deep and superficial); processing of grazes, cracks (for example papillas of the breast when feeding by a breast), postoperative seams; treatment and prevention of an inflammation of generative organs, urinary tract (including diseases, sexually transmitted); prevention and treatment of infections of an oral cavity, nasopharynx, eyes; antiseptic washing of cavities (including gaymorovy, frontal paranasal sinuses, an abdominal cavity); washing of a body of patients with multiresistant golden staphylococcus. Hygienic and surgical treatment of hands of personnel; prevention of intrahospital and professional infection of HIV and hepatitises at hit of contagious material on mucous membranes (including an eye) and skin.
Route of administration and doses:
Before use of drug it is recommended to clear the sites of skin, mucous membrane which are subject to processing. The antiseptic agent is evenly applied on skin and a mucous membrane, on wound surfaces — by means of the tampon moistened in enough solution or irrigated by means of the sprayer. The surface has to be completely moistened. After processing before imposing of bandages, stickers it is necessary to wait that the processed surface dried.
When processing a body before aseptic operational interventions it is necessary to process the place of a section in the beginning, and then — surrounding sites of skin. At septic operation processing is begun with the periphery. Antiseptic processing of a surgery field it is necessary to carry out a minimum twice.
For the purpose of processing of wounds (including an umbilical wound of newborns), burns, decubituses of Oktenisept apply in not divorced look or in cultivations. Processing is carried out by means of the tampon moistened in solution, irrigation from a spray or imposing of the gauze bandages impregnated with Oktenisept. The following procedures can be carried out in 1–2 min.
For the purpose of prevention and topical treatment of inflammatory processes for rinsing of an oral cavity, a nasopharynx, 20 ml of Oktenisept should be parted with water.
For washing of generative organs for the purpose of prevention of inflammatory processes (including infections of various origin) Oktenisept part with water.
In complex treatment at inflammatory processes (including infectious diseases) generative organs drug is used not divorced or if necessary parted with water.
For prevention and treatment at fungus diseases of skin of legs and feet processing by drug of the specified sites is carried out by 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening) by a spraying method. The processed site of skin has to be dry.
Frequency rate of use of Oktenisept — 2–3 times a day, if necessary — to 6 times a day. Cultivation of drug from 1:1 to 1:10 does not influence efficiency.
