General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredients: 300 mg of chloramphenicol (levomycetinum), 1,6 g of methyluracil in 40 g of ointment.
Excipients: poly(ethylene oxide) 1500, poly(ethylene oxide) 400.
Pharmacological properties:
Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug for topical administration, has antiinflammatory and antimicrobic effect. It is active concerning gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (stafilokokk, pyocyanic and intestinal sticks).
Easily gets into depth of fabrics without damage of biological membranes, stimulates regeneration processes. In the presence of pus and necrotic masses antibacterial action remains.
Indications to use:
Purulent wounds (including infected with the mixed microflora) in the first (it is purulent - necrotic) to a phase of a wound process.
Route of administration and doses:
Locally. Impregnate with drug sterile gauze napkins with which рыхло fill a wound. Introduction to purulent cavities through a catheter (a drainage tube) by means of the syringe is possible. In this case ointment is previously warmed up to 35-36 °C.
Features of use:
Bandagings make daily, before full clarification of a wound from is purulent - necrotic masses.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions (skin rashes).
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity.
Storage conditions:
At a temperature not above 20 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 3,5 years. Not to use medicine after the termination of a period of validity.
