Glyukozo-tolerantny test

General characteristics. Structure:

Acting substances: glucose

1 package contains powder of glucose 75,0 g;

excipient: citric acid, monohydrate.

Indications to use:

Peroral Glyukozo-Tolerantny the Test needs to be applied in case the content of glucose in blood does not allow to establish the diagnosis of disturbance of tolerance to glucose or diabetes.

Route of administration and doses:

The patient should not reduce amount of food for 3 days before test. Just before test the patient should not eat food during 10-16 h. The test is carried out in the morning. At first glucose level in blood on an empty stomach is defined. After that for 5 min. it is necessary to drink 75 g of the glucose dissolved in 250 ml of water. When conducting test at corpulent persons glucose is added at the rate of 1 g on 1 kg of body weight, but by no more than 100 g. Glucose level in blood is defined by 2 h.
Children.

After the first capture of blood from a finger the inspected child accepts inside aqueous solution of glucose within 5 minutes from calculation - 1,75 g on 1 kg of body weight.

For a venous blood threshold values will be approximately on 1 mmol/l (18 mg/dl) lower.

Features of use:

During conducting test the patient has to lie or sit quietly, just before test it is not necessary to smoke, overcool and be engaged in physical activity;
the test is not recommended to be carried out after debilitating diseases, operations and childbirth, at inflammatory processes, alcoholic cirrhosis, hepatitises, during periods, at gastrointestinal diseases with glucose absorption disturbance;
before test it is necessary to exclude drug intake (adrenaline, glucocorticoids, contraceptives, caffeine, diuretics of a thiazide row, psychotropic drugs and antidepressants), and also medical procedures which can influence glucose level in blood;

pseudo-positive results are observed at a hypopotassemia, liver dysfunction, endocrinopathies.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Ability to influence speed of response at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Glyukozo-Tolerantny the Test does not influence ability to manage vehicles and to work with other mechanisms.

Children can carry out the test according to indications without age restrictions.

Storage conditions:
