Adzhikold Rastitelny

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: each 5 ml of syrup contain extracts of medicinal plants: 30 mg of Adhatoda vasika (adatod of a vasik), 20 mg of Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice naked), 10 mg of Curcuma longa (turmeric long), 10 mg of Ocimum sanctum (basilicas sacred), 10 mg of Zingiber officinale (ginger real), 5 mg of Solanum xantocarpum (nightshade), 5 mg of Piper longum (pepper long), 5 mg of Elettaria Cardamomum (cardamom real).

Excipients: sugar, sorbitol solution of 70%, gum guar, menthol, propylene glycol, Natrium benzoicum, sodium propylparaben, бронопол, caramel, methylparaben, citric acid monohydrate, fennel fragrance (sweet fennel), fragrance crimson sweet, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Effect of drug is caused by structure of the operating components. Adzhikold renders vegetable syrup mucolytic (promotes depression and an otkhozhdeniye of a phlegm), antiedematous (reduces a hyperemia and hypostasis of a mucous membrane of upper respiratory tracts), spasmolytic (reduces a bronchospasm, facilitates breath at inflammatory respiratory diseases, dry cough and t. o), to a protikashlev (the mechanism of action is based on decrease in a hyperactivity of a respiratory center), antiinflammatory (reduces expressiveness of inflammatory process in a mucous membrane of respiratory tracts), sedative (normalizes psychophysiological reactions, eliminates concern, discomfort at a bronchospasm), antihistaminic, hypothermal, local antiseptic action.

Pharmacokinetics. Effect of drug is cumulative action of its components therefore carrying out kinetic researches is impossible. Everything together components cannot be traced by means of markers or bioresearches. For the same reason it is impossible to find drug metabolites. 

Indications to use:

It is applied as cure of symptomatic therapy for the inflammatory respiratory diseases which are followed by cough such as: pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, initial stages of whooping cough, chronic diseases of a respiratory organs: bronchitis of smokers, "lecturing" laryngitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Children are 3-5 years old – on 1/2 teaspoons (2,5 ml) 3 times a day. Children are 6-14 years old – on 1/2–1 teaspoon (2,5 – 5 ml) 3 times a day. To adults and children 14 years – on 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) 3 times a day are more senior.

Course of treatment 2-3 weeks.

Features of use:

Drug is not recommended to be used to children 3 years are younger. Use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast perhaps only if the expected advantage for mother exceeds potential risk for a fruit or the child.

At the same time according to indications use of antimicrobic means is possible. Patients who are ill a diabetes mellitus need to consider that Adzhikold vegetable syrup contains 1.5 g of sugar in 5 ml (1 teaspoon).

Side effects:

In isolated cases allergic reactions to drug components are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Any medicinal interactions are not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Overdose:

In isolated cases the sensation of discomfort in epigastric area, nausea, vomiting is possible. Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C in the place, unavailable to children. To store in densely closed packaging. A period of validity – 3 years.
