General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: Азафен® (Pipofezinum) in terms of dry matter - 150 mg;
Excipients
Gipromelloza (metotset K4M Premium), povidone (коллидон 25), cellulose microcrystallic, silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil), magnesium hydrosilicate (talc), magnesium stearate.

Description: Round biconvex tablets of yellowish-greenish color.
Existence of a mramornost is allowed.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Blocking the return neyronalny capture of monoamines presynaptic membranes, increases their contents in a synaptic gap that leads to stopping of symptoms of a depression; along with it the central antiserotoninovy activity defining its sedative action is inherent in Azaphenum. Unlike tricyclic antidepressants has no holinoblokiruyushchy properties. Does not influence activity of monoaminoxidases (MAO).

Pharmacokinetics. It is quickly and almost completely soaked up in digestive tract, substantially is exposed to biotransformation in a liver with formation of inactive metabolites. Time of achievement of the maximum concentration (TCmax) makes 1,2 hour, an elimination half-life (T1/2) - the 9th hour. It is removed preferential with urine.

Indications to use:

Depressive frustration easy and moderate severity (including depressions at chronic somatopathies).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside.
After establishment of an optimum daily dose with use of the tablets Azafen® on 25 mg, appoint Azafen® of MB 150 mg of 1 times (morning) or 2 times (in the morning and in the evening) taking into account efficiency and portability.

Features of use:

Periodic control of functions of a liver and kidneys is necessary. It is recommended to limit prescription of drug to persons whose work demands bystry physical and mental reaction, for example, of control of vehicles. During treatment alcohol intake is prohibited.

Side effects:

Headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Exponentiates effects of alcohol and other means oppressing the central nervous system, antihistaminic drugs and anticoagulants; reduces efficiency of anticonvulsant therapy. It is not necessary to appoint together with MAO antidepressants-inhibitors or before 1 — 2 weeks after their cancellation.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, the expressed disturbances of functions of a liver and kidneys, coronary heart disease, state after an acute disorder of cerebral circulation, serious infectious diseases, a diabetes mellitus, pregnancy, feeding by a breast, children's age.

Overdose:

Strengthening of side effects. Symptomatic treatment.
