General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 20 mg of fuzidovy acid in 1 g of ointment.

Excipients: paraffin white soft, lanolin anhydrous, cetyl alcohol, liquid paraffin.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Fuzidovy acid - an antibiotic which is formed in the course of Fusidium coccineum growth. Breaks synthesis of protein of a microbic cell, depending on a dose, works bacteriostatically or bakteritsidno.

Drug has strong antibacterial effect on a big circle of gram-positive microorganisms - Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corinebacterium minutissimum and Propionibacterium acnes, including on staphylococcus, steady against effect of penicillin, streptomycin, levomycetinum, erythromycin and other antibiotics. Fuzikutan has property to work through intact skin.

Pharmacokinetics. During topical administration system absorption is insignificant.

Indications to use:

Topical treatment of the infectious diseases of skin caused by microorganisms, sensitive to effect of drug.

Route of administration and doses:

Fuzikutan (cream, ointment) - adults and children of 1 month should apply with a thin layer on the struck parts of skin 2-3 times a day for 7 days. Treatment of eels it is necessary to spend longer period - to 14 days. To use Mozhn under a bandage.

Features of use:

Butylhydroxyanisole, cetyl alcohol, sorbate of potassium and lanolin can cause local insignificant irritation of skin (for example, contact dermatitis).
