Dormiplant-Valerian

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 500 mg of dry extract of rhizomes with roots of a valerian (3-6:1).

Excipients: cellulose of microcrystallic 162 mg, castor oil the hydrogenated 40 mg, croscarmellose sodium of 30 mg, silicon dioxide of colloid 12 mg, magnesium stearate of 6 mg.

Structure of a film cover: cellulose of microcrystallic 5.35 mg, stearic acid of 5.35 mg, gipromelloza of 42.8 mg, titanium dioxide (E171) of 5.2 mg, indigokarminovy varnish (E132) of 3.5 mg, talc of 1 mg, vanillin of 0.6 mg, sodium saccharinate of 0.1 mg, симетикон 0.092 mg, methyl cellulose of 0.0077 mg, sorbic acid of 0.0003 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Means of a plant origin. Causes moderately expressed sedation. Action is caused by the content of essential oil most of which part is made by ester of baras camphor and isovaleric acid.

Sedative properties also valepotriata and alkaloids - валерин and хотенин have. The valerian facilitates approach of a natural dream. Sedation is shown slowly, but is rather stable. Valerianic acid and valepotriata possess weak spasmolytic action. Besides, the complex of biologically active agents of a valerian medicinal has cholagogue effect, increases secretory activity mucous a GIT, slows down a cordial rhythm and expands coronary vessels.

Regulation of cordial activity is mediated via neuroregulatory mechanisms and a direct impact on automatism and the carrying-out system of heart. Medical action is shown at systematic and prolonged course treatment.

Indications to use:

Conditions of excitement; the frustration of a dream connected with overexcitation; migraine; easy functional disturbances from the cardiovascular and alimentary system (as a rule, as a part of a combination therapy).

Route of administration and doses:

Accept inside. The dose is defined individually, depending on the applied dosage form and age of the patient.

Features of use:

Influence on ability to drive the car and to work with mechanisms. During treatment it is necessary to refrain from control of vehicles and other potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions. It is not necessary to accept drug more than 1,5-2 months daily.

Side effects:

In some cases: hypersensitivity reactions; at use in high doses - slackness, depression, weakness, decrease in working capacity.

Interaction with other medicines:

At simultaneous use with the medicines exerting the oppressing impact on TsNS their action is exponentiated.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a valerian.

Overdose:

About drug overdose cases it was not reported so far. Drowsiness, decrease in working capacity are possible.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 30 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.
