Escuzanum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 4,725 g of a horse-chestnut of seeds of extract of dry (5-7:1) Hippocastani extractum siccum normatum (extragent ethanol of 60% about/about), 0,5 g of thiamin of a hydrochloride.

Excipients: ethanol of 96%, the water purified lactose monohydrate, silicon dioxide colloid.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has anti-exudative and venotoniziruyushchy effect. It is established that extract of seeds of a horse-chestnut reduces concentration of lizosomalny enzymes therefore disintegration of mucopolysaccharides in the field of walls of capillaries decreases. Эскузан® reduces permeability of vessels, preventing filtering of low-molecular proteins, electrolytes and water in intercellular space.

Indications to use:

Chronic venous insufficiency of the I—III class on classification of SEAR: a varicosity, hypostases, spasms in gastrocnemius muscles, feeling of weight in legs.

Route of administration and doses:

To accept drug inside before food on 12 — 15 drops 3 times a day, before the use to part in a small amount of water. Duration of therapy is defined by the attending physician.

Before use to shake up.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Due to the lack of sufficient researches drug is not recommended to be accepted during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Drug contains 31% of ethanol. At observance of the recommended dosages at each administration of drug comes to an organism to 0,128g ethanol, contains in the maximum daily dose of drug to 0,384g ethanol.

During use of drug it is necessary to be careful when performing potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving and other vehicles, work with moving mechanisms, work of the dispatcher and operator). At long storage of drugs (liquid dosage forms) on the basis of medicinal vegetable raw materials opacification and loss of a deposit is possible that drug does not influence quality.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, irritations of a mucous membrane of digestive tract, headaches, dizziness are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Effect of thiamin decreases at simultaneous use with sulfitosoderzhashchy infusional rastvoarm.

Ftoruratsil, vinblastine, bleomycin, Cisplatinum break digestion of B1 vitamin.

Penicillaminum, isoniazid reduce efficiency of B1 vitamin, increasing its removal.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to components of drug, a liver disease, a lactose intolerance, deficit of lactase, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption, children's age (up to 12 years).

With care. Alcoholism, a craniocereberal injury, brain diseases, children's age (12 years are more senior).

Overdose:

At overdose emergence of feeling of weight in epigastric area is possible. Drug should be cancelled. Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature from 8 °C to 25 °C. To store in the place unavailable to children! A period of validity - 3 years. Not to use after expiry date.

Solution for intake. On 20 ml in a bottle of dark glass with a stopper dropper and the screw-on plastic cover. The bottle together with  the application instruction is placed in a cardboard pack.
