Kalgel

General characteristics. Structure:

Dental gel of yellowy-brown color, soft, homogeneous, with a characteristic smell, free from grains, lumps and foreign particles.

Active ingredient: lidocaine hydrochloride of 3.3 mg
cetylpyridinium chloride of 1 mg

Excipients: sorbitol solution of 70% (uncrystallizable) - 210 mg, ксилитол - 140 mg, ethanol of 96% - 93.6 mg, глицерол - 70 mg, a gietelloza - 25 mg, a macrogoal глицерилгидроксистеарат - 10 mg, лауромакрогол 600 - 3.3 mg, a macrogoal of 300 - 3.3 mg, sodium saccharinate - 1 mg, left menthol - 0.6 mg, fragrance of grass 17.42.5490 - 4.8 mg, caramel (E150) - 1 mg, sodium citrate - 8.3 mg, citric acid monohydrate - 1.05 mg, water - to 1000 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug with mestnoanesteziruyushchy and antimicrobic action for topical administration.

Lidocaine the hydrochloride - has mestnoanesteziruyushchy effect which is caused by oppression of nerve conduction due to blockade of natrium channels.

Cetylpyridinium chloride - an antiseptic agent. Suppresses growth of a number of bacteria and mushrooms.

 

Pharmacokinetics. Data on pharmacokinetics of the drug Kalgel® are not provided.

Indications to use:

— a pain syndrome at a teething at children from 5-month age.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is intended for topical administration. A small amount of gel (about 7.5 mm) is applied on a tip of a clean finger and carefully rubbed to the inflamed site of a gingiva. If necessary gel can be applied repeatedly with an interval not less than 20 min., but 6 times are not more often.

Features of use:

Before use of drug it is necessary to consult with the pediatrician.

It is not necessary to exceed the recommended doses since it is necessary to consider a possibility of a proglatyvaniye of drug when feeding and during sleep.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible: urticaria, itch, acute anaphylaxis.

Swallowing disturbance is possible.

If during use of gel there are symptoms of an allergy, then drug it is necessary to cancel and see a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

In case of need uses of other drugs, it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Contraindications:

— renal failure;

— liver failure;

— arterial hypotension;

— heart failure of the II-III stage;

— disturbance of intra ventricular conductivity;

— bradycardia;

— hypersensitivity to lidocaine, cetylpyridinium or to any other component of drug.

 

Use at abnormal liver functions

It is contraindicated at a liver failure.

 

Use at renal failures

It is contraindicated at a renal failure.

Overdose:

Symptoms: vomiting, pallor of integuments, bradycardia, oppression of a respiratory center, apnoea.

Treatment: drug withdrawal. It is necessary to see a doctor.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 3 years.
