General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: contains in 1 capsule:

- extract of a holarkhena of fluffy 400 mg
- extract of a myrtle of ordinary 400 mg
- extract of a barberry of awned 100 mg
- extract of a quince of the Bengalese 100 mg
- extract of an oak of tinctorial 100 mg
- extract of a butea of magnificent 100 mg

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug of a plant origin which components render the antiinflammatory, antimicrobic, adsorbing, knitting and spasmolytic action.

Pharmacokinetics. As Engtuobang is multicomponent vegetable drug, studying of its pharmacokinetics is not possible.

Indications to use:

— acute and chronic diarrheal syndrome of a noninfectious etiology.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside: an initial dose - 2 capsules, further - 1 capsule each 4 hours. Duration of treatment is up to 10 days.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. It is contraindicated at pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Use at abnormal liver functions. It is contraindicated at an abnormal liver function.

Use for children. It is contraindicated to children up to 18 years.

Special instructions. Drug does not influence performance of potentially dangerous types of activity requiring special attention and bystry reactions (driving and other vehicles, work with moving mechanisms, work of the dispatcher and operator, etc.).

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not revealed.

Contraindications:

— abnormal liver functions;

— inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases in the period of an aggravation (acute gastritis, an exacerbation of chronic gastritis, a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum);

— intestinal impassability;

— the diarrhea caused by dysentery, helminthosis, salt laxatives (sodium sulfate and magnesium sulfate);

— existence of symptoms of the expressed dehydration and disturbance of electrolytic balance;

— pregnancy and period of breastfeeding;

— children's age up to 18 years;

— the increased individual sensitivity to drug components.

Overdose:

So far cases of overdose were not described.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C. In the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years.
