General characteristics. Structure:

100 g of syrup contain:
active agent: extract of a thyme of liquid 9,00 g
excipients:
potassium sorbate, citric acid monohydrate, caramel, глицерол 85%, sorbitol of 70%, the water purified.

Description: brown liquid with a thyme smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Туссамаг has expectorant effect, liquefies a phlegm and reduces its viscosity.
Active ingredients of drug - methyl-isopropyl phenol and carvacrol - have also antimicrobic effect.

Indications to use:

Diseases of upper respiratory tracts with difficulty of an otkhozhdeniye of a phlegm (bronchitis, tracheitis, a tracheobronchitis, whooping cough, etc.).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside.

If the attending physician did not appoint other dosage, then drug is accepted:
• adults: 3-4 times a day on 2-3 teaspoons;
• teenagers: 3-4 times a day on 1-2 teaspoons;
• children from 1 to 5 years: 2-3 times a day on 1 teaspoon.

Features of use:

Drug contains 4 about. alcohol %. Drug contains an extract from a plant which can cause easy opacification of syrup or a deposit in a bottle, however it does not influence efficiency of drug.

The instruction for patients with a diabetes mellitus:
1 teaspoon of syrup without sugar contains 1,85 g of sorbite that makes 0,15 XE.

Contraindications:

It is not recommended to appoint drug to pregnant women and patients with a decompensation of cordial activity, and also at the increased individual sensitivity to drug, the lactation period.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 3 years. Not to apply after expiry date. At a temperature not above 30 °C in the place, unavailable to children.
