General characteristics. Structure:

In 100 g of an elixir contains:
Active components: extract of a grass of a thyme of liquid 5,0 g; extract of roots of a primrose of liquid 2.5 g
Auxiliary components:
Natrium benzoicum, sugar syrup special *; the water purified. * - sucrose mix, dextroses (glucose) and fructose.

Description of active component: thyme grass extract liquid (Thymus vulgaris L.).
Thyme grass ratio to extragent 1:2-2,5.
Extragent: solution of ammonia of 10% (weight/weight), glycerin of 85%, alcohol of ethyl 90% (about/about), water; in the ratio 1:20:70:109.

Description of active component: extract of roots of a primrose liquid (Primula veris L.).
Ratio of roots of a primrose to extragent 1:2-2,5. Extragent: alcohol of ethyl 70% (weight/weight).

Description. Transparent or slightly muddy solution from henna-red till dark brown color with poorly expressed thyme smell.

Pharmacological properties:

Drug renders expectorant, antiinflammatory, broncholitic, antimicrobic action, promotes decrease in viscosity of a phlegm and acceleration of its evacuation.

Indications to use:

As an expectorant in complex therapy of the inflammatory respiratory diseases (bronchitis, tracheitis, etc.) which are followed by cough with the hardly separated phlegm.

Route of administration and doses:

If the doctor did not appoint other mode of dosing, to adults and teenagers appoint inside on 1 teaspoon of an elixir (5 ml) to 6 times a day.
children are from 5 to 12 years old - on 1 teaspoon of an elixir (5 ml) to 4 times a day.
to children from 1 year to 4 years - on 1/2 teaspoons (2,5 ml) to 3 times a day.
The elixir should be accepted at regular intervals within a day.
The average course of treatment makes 10-14 days. Increase in duration and carrying out
repeated courses of treatment perhaps according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Features of use:

Elixir Bronkhikum of TP contains 5,46 volume % of alcohol.
If improvement of a condition of the patient does not occur, or in case of attacks of suffocation, a purulent phlegm, and also at temperature increase it is necessary to see a doctor immediately.
Information for patients with a diabetes mellitus.
5 ml of an elixir (about 1 teaspoon) correspond 0,36 GU (grain units).

Side effects:

The following reactions are in rare instances possible:
allergic reactions: skin rash, small tortoiseshell, and also face edema and mucous oral cavity and throat (Quincke's edema).
from digestive tract: nausea, gastritis, dyspepsia.
In these cases, and also in case of development of any undesirable phenomena which are not specified in the instruction it is necessary to stop administration of drug and to see a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

The concomitant use with antibechic drugs, and also with the medicines reducing formation of a phlegm as it complicates expectoration of the liquefied phlegm is not recommended.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, inborn intolerance of fructose, glyukozo-fructose malabsorption, insufficiency of enzymes of invertase and isomaltase, chronic heart failure (in a decompensation stage), heavy abnormal liver functions and kidneys, children's age (till 1 year).
Due to the content in alcohol drug an elixir Bronkhikum TP should not be used at alcoholics.
With care and only after consultation with the doctor patients should accept an elixir with liver diseases, diseases and brain injuries, epilepsy.

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast
Drug is not recommended to be used at pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Overdose:

It was not reported about cases of development of intoxication at reception of an elixir Bronkhikum to TP.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity: 3 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging. To store at a temperature below 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.

Packaging:

Elixir. On 130 g of drug in a glass bottle with the screw-on plastic cover with control of the first opening which the plastic glass doser is put on. Each bottle together with the application instruction is packed into a cardboard pack.
