Gopanten

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 250 mg or 500 mg of gopantenovy acid in 1 tablet.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has a promoting effect on TsNS against the background of cerebral insufficiency of exogenous and organic genesis. Improves working capacity, stirs up cerebration, reduces motor excitability, arranges behavior, has anticonvulsant effect.

Indications to use:

Mental retardation, delay of mental and speech development, tserebrastenichesky syndrome; for correction of side effects of antipsychotic means, including an antipsychotic extrapyramidal syndrome; epilepsy (as a part of complex therapy), residual manifestations of the postponed neuroinfection, postvaccinal encephalitis, a craniocereberal injury, cerebral organic insufficiency at patients with schizophrenia (as a part of complex therapy), hyperkinesias, frustration of an urination (enuresis, a day incontience of urine, a pollakiuria, imperative desires, etc.).

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, cherez15-30 min. after food, adult 1,5–3 g/days, to children of 0,75-3 g/days, a course of treatment of 1-4 months, in some cases up to 6 months, a repeated course — in 3–6 months.

At mental retardation to children — on 0,5 g of 4-6 times a day — 3 months, at a delay of speech development — on 0,5 g 3–4 times a day — 2–3 months.

For correction of an antipsychotic syndrome children on 0,25–0,5 g 3–4 times a day, at adults on 0,5–1 g have 3 times a day, a course of 1-3 months.

At epilepsy to children on 0,25–0,5 g, adult on 0,5–1 g 3–4 times a day are long (up to 6 months).

At hyperkinesias to children on 0,25–0,5 g of 3-6 times a day, adult 1,5–3 g/days — 1–5 months.

At frustration of an urination to children of 25-50 mg/kg/days, adult 2–3 g/days in 2–3 receptions, a course of treatment of 2 weeks — 3 months.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Contraindicated in the I trimester of pregnancy. The category of action on a fruit — is not determined by FDA.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: rhinitis, conjunctivitis, rash.

Interaction with other medicines:

Prolongs action of barbiturates; strengthens effects of the drugs stimulating TsNS, anticonvulsants, local anesthetics (Procainum). Prevents side effects of phenobarbital, carbamazepine, neuroleptics. Effect of gopantenovy acid amplifies in combination with glycine, etidronovy acid.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, acute renal failure, pregnancy (I trimester).

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature of 15-25 °C, in dry, protected from light and the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 3 years. Not to use after the expiry date specified on packaging.

Tablets of 250 mg and 500 mg, 10 tablets in each blister, on one, two or three blisters together with the application instruction in cardboard packaging.
