General characteristics. Structure:

Ointment for external use of 10% 1 g Benzylium benzoate - 100 mg Ointment for external use of 20% 1 g Benzylium benzoate medical - 200 mg

Pharmacological properties:

Antiparasitic drug for external use. Has toxic effect concerning an itch mite and all species of louses (death of louses occurs in 2-5 h, ticks - in 7-32 min.). There passes the chitinous cover and collects in an organism of a tick in toxic concentration. Causes death of larvae and adult individuals of itch mites; does not affect eggs.

Indications to use:

Mange.

Route of administration and doses:

Course of treatment 4 days. At treatment of itch ointment is applied after washing for the night on all integument, excepting the person and a pilar part of the head, ointment is rubbed hands, the hand is not washed till the morning, 30-40 g of ointment are spent for one rubbing in. After embrocation put on the disinfected linen and clothes. For the fourth day processing is repeated, to the fifth day appoint washing with change of underwear. Disinfecting of next-to-skin and bed linen, outerwear and headdresses is obligatory. For adults 20% ointment, are applied to children - 10% ointment. On sites with gentle skin ointment is applied without intensive rubbing in. It is necessary to avoid hit of ointment in eyes.

Features of use:

Before an initiation of treatment it is reasonable to patient to take a hot shower for mechanical removal from the surface of leather of mites, and also an epidermis blanket loosening (for drug penetration simplification). After each forced washing of hands it is necessary to process them again. It is necessary to avoid hit of ointment in eyes.

Side effects:

At embrocation there can be a burning sensation which in a few minutes passes. The individual intolerance is in rare instances possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Pharmacological interaction of ointment with other drugs it is not revealed, however, as well as all antiparasitics, it is not recommended to be applied along with other outside medicines.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age (up to 3 years).

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light, at a temperature not above 20 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity. 3 years. Not to apply after the period of validity specified on packaging.
