General characteristics. Structure:
Active agent: extract of a root of a mallow of medicinal (Althea officinalis) of 50 mg
Excipients: Natrii hydrocarbonas.
Pharmacological properties:
Means of a plant origin. The root of a mallow contains vegetable slime (to 35%), asparagine, a betaine, pectinaceous substances, starch. Renders the enveloping, softening, expectorant, antiinflammatory action. Vegetable slime cover mucous membranes with a thin layer which it is long remains on a surface and protects them from irritation. As a result inflammatory process decreases and the spontaneous angenesis is facilitated. At impact on a mucous membrane of a stomach protective action of a film from vegetable slime of subjects is more long and more effective, than acidity of a gastric juice is higher (viscosity of vegetable slime increases at contact with Acidum hydrochloricum).
Indications to use:
Respiratory diseases (including laryngitis, tracheitises, bronchitis, bronchial asthma), gastritis, peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum.

Individual, depending on indications and the applied dosage form.
Features of use:
Educates a film from vegetable slime on a mucosal surface of a cover of upper respiratory tracts not only the expressed medical effect, but also promotes longer local influence of other medicines.
As an expectorant drugs of a mallow can be used in a combination from sodium bicarbonate.
