Hawthorn tincture

General characteristics. Structure:

1 bottle contains - tinctures of fruits of a hawthorn (1:10); excipients: alcohol of ethyl 70%

Pharmacological properties:

Biologically active agents which are contained in hawthorn fruits (flavonoids, sincaline, acetylcholine, tannins, phytosterols, triterpenovy acids) strengthen blood circulation in coronary vessels and vessels of a brain, increase sensitivity of a myocardium to cardiac glycosides and reduce his excitability that leads to certain strengthening of reductions of a cardiac muscle. Drug is well soaked up at intake. The effect occurs in 30 min. - 1 hour.

Indications to use:

Hawthorn tincture is applied at functional disorders of activity of cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonias, etc.) and also as auxiliary medicine at easy forms of disturbances of a cordial rhythm (flickering arrhythmia, a Bouveret's disease)

Route of administration and doses:

Hawthorn tincture is accepted inside to food. The adult about 20 drops of tincture 3 times a day before achievement of stable medical effect (normalization of arterial pressure, heartbeat reduction, etc.) are recommended to accept. To children since 12 years - at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life.

Features of use:

Drug is not recommended to be accepted during food, in order to avoid interaction with its components.

Side effects:

Drowsiness, considerable delay of cardiac pressure, allergic reactions are seldom observed (reddening and rash on skin, an itch).

Contraindications:

Hawthorn tincture is contraindicated at individual intolerance of components of drug. Safety and efficiency of use of a hawthorn of tincture for children are not established therefore it is not recommended to use without appointment of the doctor drug at children up to 12 years. Concerning a possibility of use of a hawthorn of tincture during the periods of pregnancy and feeding by a breast it is necessary to consult to the doctor.
