Ketotsin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: 1 g of ointment contains - Ketotifenum of a gidrofumarat – 0,01 g; Dimexidum – 0,05 g; boric acid – 0,03 g; oxide zinc – 0,07 g; excipients: coriander essential oil, polyethyleneglycol 400, polyethyleneglycol 1500.

Pharmacological properties:

Ointment Ketotsin is antiallergenic drug. Thanks to complex structure, ointment shows the expressed antihistaminic, antiinflammatory, anti-exudative action; antiseptic and disinfecting properties, and also the itch eliminates. Ointment eliminates the phenomena of lichenification, a peeling, formation of crusts on integuments. Unlike the hormonal ointments containing glucocorticosteroids, ointment Ketotsin does not oppress processes of regeneration in skin and has no systemic gormonopodobny action. Ointment is not toxic, does not render teratogenic, mutagen, cumulative and allergenic action.
Ketotifenum hydrofumarating is the stabilizer of membranes of mast cells, shows antiallergic activity suppressing action of endogenous mediators of an inflammation, oppresses emission of mediators of an allergy (a histamine, leukotrienes), a sensitization of eosinophils by cytokines that leads to oppression of migration of eosinophilic granulocytes in the inflammation center.
Dimexidum shows mestnoobezbolivayushchy, antimicrobic, antioxidant, antiinflammatory properties and is traditionally used on pharmaceutical production as the conductor of medicines through skin.
Zinc oxide is applied as knitting and disinfectant at skin diseases.
Boric acid shows antiseptic activity.

Indications to use:

Allergic dermatitis, pruritic dermatosis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, allergic reactions to stings of insects, slight solar and thermal burns, microbic eczema, mitotic eczema, seborrheal eczema, dermatitis at children.

Route of administration and doses:

Necessary amount of ointment, at the rate of 0,5 g of ointment on an affected area of kozhirazmery 5х5 cm, put with a thin layer, easily rubbing before full absorption, once a day, in case of need – 2-3 times a day. A course of treatment - before achievement of therapeutic effect (up to 30 days). In case of a recurrence of a disease carry out repeated courses of treatment.

Side effects:

Cases of overdose of Ketotsin ointment at cutaneous use were not observed.

Interaction with other medicines:

Ketotsin ointment can be applied in a combination with other drugs intended for treatment of associated diseases, however Ketotifenum hydrofumarating which is a part of drug in case of drawing on the big site of skin can strengthen effect of sedative, somnolent and antihistaminic drugs.

Contraindications:

The increased individual sensitivity to drug components. Drug is contraindicated to women during pregnancy, a lactation, and also children aged up to one year.

Overdose:

At use of the doses of drug exceeding recommended perhaps slight increase of a svorachivayemost of blood.
