General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 0,3 g or 0,45 g of chlorobutanol, 0,3 g or 0,45 g of camphor, 0,3 g or 0,45 g of left menthol, 0,3 g or 0,45 g of an eucalyptus of prutovidny oil of leaves in 30 or 45 g of solution in a cylinder.

Excipients: propylene glycol, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Cametonum – the combined drug for topical administration which action is defined by the components which are its part. Renders local antiinflammatory, antiseptic and moderate mestnoanesteziruyushchy action.

Chlorbutanol renders moderate mestnoanesteziruyushchy, antiinflammatory and antiseptic action.

Camphor renders irritating and partly antiseptic action, strengthens a blood stream in a site of application.

Left menthol has the mestnoanesteziruyushchy effect which is followed by a cryesthesia. The irritating (distracting) effect promotes elimination of pain. Has also weak antiseptic property.

Eucalyptus oil exerts the stimulating impact on receptors of mucous membranes, has also weak local antiinflammatory and antiseptic activity. The combination of the specified pharmacological properties provides complex pathogenetic therapy of inflammatory diseases of upper respiratory tracts.

Indications to use:

Combination therapy of infectious and inflammatory diseases of ENT organs (rhinitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis).

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used locally. Before use remove a protective cap from the sprayer. At use the cylinder (bottle) should be held vertically that the sprayer was above; it is impossible to use a cylinder (bottle) in the turned state. After use of drug it is necessary to put on a protective cap the sprayer.

For treatment of rhinitis previously it is necessary to clear a nose of slime, then to enter there the sprayer on depth of 0,5 cm. Drug Cametonum spraying at the same time should be carried out on a phase of "breath" by pressing the sprayer basis by a big and index finger from top to down against the stop. For one use for adults carry out 2-3 sprayings in each nostril, at children aged from 5 up to 12 years – to 1 spraying, children have from 12 to 15 years – on 1-2 sprayings. Use frequency – 3-4 times a day. A course of treatment – 7-10 days.

At therapy of inflammatory diseases of a throat and throat (pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis) the raspylitelny nozzle is entered into an oral cavity. Drug should be used after food, previously having rinsed an oral cavity warm boiled water. Drug spraying is carried out in this case irrespective of a phase of "breath" or "exhalation". For one use for adults carry out 2-4 sprayings to the right and to the left, at children aged from 5 up to 12 years – on 1 spraying, at children aged from 12 up to 15 years – on 1-2 sprayings. Use frequency – 3-4 times a day. A course of treatment – 7-10 days.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions in the form of skin rash which take place independently after drug withdrawal.

At use of drug feelings of easy burning and a pricking are possible.

If any of specified in the instruction of side effects are aggravated, or you noticed any other side effects which are not specified in the instruction, report about it to the doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of drug components, children's age (up to 5 years).

Overdose:

Symptoms: the nausea, vomiting connected with swallowing a part of drug.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy is carried out.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry place at a temperature from 15 to 30 ºС.Хранить in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity: 2 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on the label.
