Glycerin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 0,85 g of glycerin in 1 g of medicine.

Excipients: the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Medicine has the softening and dermatoprotektorny effect, having the high hydroscopic and greasing properties. Glycerin practically does not get through the unimpaired skin, but well gets through mucous membranes. It is used as a basis for preparation of ointments and other dosage forms.

Indications to use:

Appoint for mitigation of skin and mucous membranes.

Route of administration and doses:

Medicine is applied outwardly to greasing of affected areas of skin and mucous membranes as required.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and feeding by a breast. Medicine use on doctor's orders.

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms. Glycerin, liquid for external use does not exert impact on ability to drive the car and to perform the works requiring special attention.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, local reactions (itch and burning of skin).

Interaction with other medicines:

Data on interaction of glycerin with other medicines are not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to glycerin. Existence of the injured skin (deep cracks, open wounds).

Overdose:

About overdose cases at drug Glycerin use, liquid for external use it was not reported. At the correct use the overdose is improbable.

To store in the place protected from moisture and light at a temperature not above +25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years.
