Ratsium

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 100 mg of powder of rhizomes with roots of a valerian, 50 mg of powder of a grass of a melissa, 50 mg of powder of leaves of a peppermint.

Excipients: lactose anhydrous, povidone, magnesium stearate, potato starch.

Structure of a cover of the capsule: gelatin, glycerin, sodium lauryl sulfate, the water purified titanium dioxide, dye diamond blue E-133.

The vegetable drug possessing the calming, somnolent, spasmolytic action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Drug possesses the calming, somnolent, spasmolytic action. Tonkoizmelchenny powder of rhizomes with roots of a valerian has the calming effect, and also improves quality and duration of a dream. Melissa grass powder – calming and spasmolytic; powder of leaves of a peppermint – the spasmolytic, moderate calming action.

Indications to use:

In complex therapy of not heavy functional disturbances of the central nervous system (a neurasthenia and sleep disorders).

Use of medicine is based only on experience of traditional long-term use.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 12 years are more senior. At the increased nervous irritability, irritability – on 1-3 capsules 2-3 times a day; at sleeplessness it is necessary to accept on 1-3 capsules in 1 hour before going to bed.

It is recommended to accept orally during food, washing down with a full glass of boiled water of room temperature.

Due to the lack of data on safety and efficiency medicine reception Ratsium by children aged up to 12 years is not recommended (see the section "Special Instructions").

The effect of medicine reception Ratsium develops gradually. For achievement of optimum effect reception of medicine within not less than 14 days is recommended. After the termination of treatment there is no development of symptoms of dependence or a withdrawal.

If symptoms remain against the background of reception of medicine within fourteen days or there is an aggravation of symptoms it is necessary to consult with the doctor.

Features of use:

Patients with a gastroesophagal reflux (heartburn) should avoid reception of the medicines containing mint because of possible strengthening of heartburn.

Patients with cholelithiasis, other diseases of a gall bladder and biliary tract should not accept peppermint leaves without observation of the doctor.

Due to the lack of data on safety and efficiency medicine reception Ratsium by children aged up to 12 years is not recommended.

Patients with rare hereditary problems of intolerance of a galactose, fructose, deficit of lactase of Lapp, a glucose/galactose sprue, insufficiency of invertase-isomaltase should not accept medicine Ratsium.

Use at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation. Safety of use during pregnancy and a lactation is not established. Due to the lack of data it is not recommended to apply during pregnancy and a lactation.

Influence on ability to drive the car and potentially dangerous mechanisms. Medicine reception Ratsium can worsen ability to drive the car and to work with mechanisms. During treatment it is not recommended to drive the car and to work with mechanisms.

Side effects:

Frequency of the side reactions which are listed below: very often (≥1/10), it is frequent (≥1/100 to   <1/10), infrequently (≥1/1000 to <1/100), is rare (≥1/10000 to <1/1000), is very rare (<1/10000), it is not known (it cannot be estimated on the basis of available data).

Development of allergic reactions is possible.

Gastrointestinal frustration

It is not known: nausea, abdominal cavity pains of spastic character.

Strengthening of symptoms of a gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn) is possible.

In case of the side reactions including which are not specified in the application instruction it is necessary to see a doctor.

Interaction with other medicines:

Information on interactions between medicine Ratsium and other medicines is limited. Strengthening of effect of the hypotensive, anesthetizing and oppressing functions of the central nervous system drugs is possible.

Before reception of other medicines the patient has to see a doctor. Clinically significant interactions with substances which are metabolized by means of CYP 2D6, CYP 3A4/5, CYP 1A2 and CYP 2E1 were not observed. The concomitant use of medicine Ratsium with synthetic sedatives (for example, benzodiazepines) is not recommended and allowed only under observation of the doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, children's age up to 12 years, arterial hypotension.

Overdose:

Ratsium's overdose can cause a feeling of fatigue, spasms in a stomach, feeling of compression in breasts, dizziness, trembling of hands, expansion of pupils which can independently disappear during 24 h.

At the phenomena of overdose it is reasonable to carry out a gastric lavage and to see a doctor.

In an experiment, single introduction of Ratsium a laboratory animal in the doses, in 15 and 30 times exceeding therapeutic does not make harmful effects on nervous, cardiovascular, hemopoietic, secretory, respiratory systems, a metabolism.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from light and moisture at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children.  Period of validity 2 years.
