Venorutinol

General characteristics. Structure:

International name: троксерутин; main physical and chemical properties: gel of yellow color, a homogeneous consistence, with a slight specific smell; structure: 100 g of gel contain a venorutinol – 2 g, excipients: alcohol, glycerin, Trilonum of B, карбопол 980 NF, solution of caustic sodium and the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Reduces permeability and fragility of capillaries, due to stabilization of hyaluronic acid, raises a tone of unstriated muscles of venous blood vessels and as a result - shows the antiedematous, antiinflammatory and anesthetizing action.

Pharmacokinetics. It is not described.

Indications to use:

Varicosity, superficial thrombophlebitis, postflebitny states, varicose ulcers and dermatitis, hemorrhoidal nodes, trophic disturbances at chronic venous insufficiency and the pains and hypostases of extremities caused by it.

Route of administration and doses:

Gel with a thin layer is applied in the morning and in the evening on affected areas of skin by means of the easy massing movements before its full penetration into skin. The course of treatment depends on disease severity and can proceed up to 20 days. There are no data on use of drug for children.

Features of use:

Gel is applied only on intact surfaces. Do not apply on open wounds and it is necessary to watch that drug did not get into eyes and on mucous membranes.

Side effects:

Allergic skin reactions – urticaria, eczema, dermatitis are in some cases observed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug.

Storage conditions:

In dry, cool, protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25ºС.

Period of validity - 2 years.
