Carboplastic

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 g of cream contains urea of 350 mg, in terms of 100% dry matter;

excipients: phenylethyl alcohol, paraffin white soft, paraffin liquid, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, a macrogoal cetostearyl ether, silicon dioxide colloid anhydrous, the water purified.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Carboplastic – the means causing an onycholysis. High concentration of urea in drug softens a keratin of the nail plate struck with a fungus that leads to its anemic and painless peeling. Removal of the nail plate struck with a fungus creates conditions for further topical antifungalny treatment.

Pharmacokinetics. The excipients which are a part of cream hold active ingredient (urea) on site of drawing, interfere with its absorption in a system blood stream.

Indications to use:

Removal of the struck nail plate at onychomycoses.

Route of administration and doses:

Cream Carboplastic should be applied with a thin layer on all affected nail, then to close a waterproof plaster and to leave on 48 h. Then to remove a plaster, to take a nail in warm water within 10 min. and to remove the softened infected part of a nail with a scraper. If the nail bed did not become completely smooth, it is necessary to impose a new portion of cream and to close a plaster. Treatment by cream is carried out until the bed of a nail does not become smooth and all will not be removed its softened part. Duration of treatment depends on the size of an affected area and thickness of a nail. Completely it is necessary to remove 1 - 3 exposures partially or the nail plate which is completely struck with mushrooms to a nail bed on 48 h (2 - 6 days). After an onychectomy it is necessary to carry out therapy by antifungal drug for topical administration on doctor's orders within 4 weeks. The effect of treatment of fungus diseases of nails depends, generally on careful removal of the struck part of a nail and on the subsequent antifungal therapy.

In cases when it was not succeeded to gain desirable effect at the first course of use of drug, it is necessary to proknsultirovatsya with the doctor who, perhaps, will appoint a repeated course of treatment.

Features of use:

It is impossible to allow hits of drug in eyes, on skin and on open wounds. In case of irritation on sites of skin, adjacent to a nail, before putting cream skin around the affected nail should be protected a plaster or any other waterproof bandage.

Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Use of drug during pregnancy and feeding by a breast is possible.

Ability to influence the speed of reactions at control of motor transport or work with other mechanisms. Drug does not influence the speed of psychomotor reactions, it it is possible in the recommended doses to apply to the persons managing motor transport and working with difficult mechanisms.

Children. Strictly controlled researches on efficiency and safety of drug at children were not conducted therefore it is not recommended to use drug in this age category.

Side effects:

At hit of cream on the sites of skin adjacent to a nail, the burning sensation, irritation, an itch are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug cannot be used along with other medicines of topical administration. Data on possible interaction with other medicines are absent.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Overdose:

At topical administration of drug the overdose is improbable.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity. 2 years. Drug needs to be stored in original packaging, in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. Not to freeze.
