Description:
As the preservatives protecting blood from coagulation the following solutions are applied: 1) the Glyugitsir solution containing sodium citrate, glucose, 2) the Tsitroglyukofosfat solution containing citric acid, glucose, sodium phosphate. The preserving solution is added at the rate of 20 ml on 80 ml of blood. The solution poured in bottles will be sterilized together with ware.
Are developed for conservation of blood and apply 18 recipes. The preservative choice substantially is defined by a period of storage and purpose of the transfused blood. So, the freeze-etch method in liquid nitrogen provides long storage of erythrocytes of rare blood groups and creation of a reserve of donor blood as safety is ensured within many months and years.
For the special purposes other preservatives, for example heparin solution - for short-term preservation can be used. Blood can be stabilized by a transmission through special ion-exchange resins.
Blood storage. Stored blood is stored at a temperature from 4 to 6 °C during 3 weeks. The packed red cells is kept for transfusion during 3 weeks.
