General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 200 mg or 400 mg of a biyen in 1 capsule.

Structure of a cover of the capsule of soft gelatinous: gelatin, glycerin, methylparahydroxybenzoate.

Biyen — a complex of ethyl ethers of the polyunsaturated fatty acids received from lipids of a micellar mushroom of Entomophthora virulenta. Biyen for 90 — 95% consists of ethyl ethers of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Are a part of a biyen: ethyl ether of α-linolenic acid of acid (ω-3), ethyl ether of linolic acid (ω-6), ethyl ether of γ-linolenic acid of acid (ω-6), ethyl ether of arachidonic acid (ω-6), ethyl ether of eicosadienoic acid (ω-6), ethyl ether of eykozatriyenovy acid (ω-6), ethyl ether of palmitic acid (ω-7), ethyl ether of palmitoleic acid (ω-9), ethyl ether of oleic acid (ω-9), ethyl ether of stearic acid, ethyl ether of myristic acid.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Biyen on set of pharmacological effects treats reparative and cytoprotective means. Drug exerts the stimulating impact on process of healing of wounds and burns of skin, mucous membranes. High performance of drug at treatment of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and 12 perstny guts is established. The medical effect of a biyen is dozozavisimy and nonspecific and therefore drug can be used also at other ulcer and necrotic damages of mucous membranes.

In comparative researches биен surpasses sea-buckthorn oil in antiultserozny effect and approaches on activity anti-secretory medicines. Biyen is not toxic and at prolonged use does not cause noticeable functional, morphological and biochemical changes in an organism.

Pharmacokinetics. Arachidonic acid is a predecessor of biologically active compounds — eicosanoids: diene prostanoid (prostaglandins; prostacyclins, thromboxanes), tetrayenovy leukotrienes, tetrayenovy lipotriyen, lipoksin, gidroperoksi-and hydroxyeicosahalf-yen acids.

Linolic acid is a predecessor of biosynthesis of monoyenovy prostanoid (prostaglandins, prostacyclins; thromboxanes), and also triyenovy leukotrienes, triyenovy lipotriyen, lipoksin.

Indications to use:

Capsules of a biyen are appointed for treatment of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut, ulcer and necrotic damages of a mucous membrane of digestive tract caused by medicines, acids and alkalis.

Drug can be used for prevention of ulcerogenic damage of a mucous membrane of digestive tract at persons, forced it is long to accept non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Route of administration and doses:

For treatment of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut and other ulcerogenic damages of a mucous membrane of a gastrointestinal step use биен in capsules. Drug is recommended to accept on 0,8 — 1,2 g on reception 3 times a day in 20-30 minutes prior to food.

In case of need the daily dose of drug can be increased to 5,4 — 8,0 g. Treatment is continued before healing of ulcer defect of a mucous membrane. Drug can be used together with other antiulcerous means.

Features of use:

With care it is necessary to use drug at patients with arthropathies, at persons with the increased individual sensitivity to drugs of polyunsaturated fatty acids, the chronic pancreatitis, diarrhea expressed by abnormal liver functions, gout.

Side effects:

Undesirable reactions from digestive tract are possible: discomfort, diarrhea, lock, nausea, abdominal distention.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is possible to appoint drug along with the histamine H2 receptors blockers, other medicines which are used in complex therapy of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and a 12-perstny gut, the cardiovascular means, antibiotics, analgetics, drugs included in the standard schemes of treatment of rayevy, ulcer and necrotic damages of skin and mucous membranes, burns and frostbites.

Drug reduces side effect by a mucous membrane of a GIT of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Reception of a biyen has to be carried out not later than 2 hours before use of antacids, a sukralfat and other medicines with the adsorbing action.

Contraindications:

Contraindications to use of a biyen are not established.

With care: an arthropathy, hypersensitivity to drugs of polyunsaturated fatty acids, chronic pancreatitis, diarrhea, the expressed abnormal liver functions, gout, pregnancy, the lactation period.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose of a biyen in capsules it is not installed.

Storage conditions:

To store in the place protected from moisture and light at a temperature from 8 °C to 15 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. Period of validity 2 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging.
