Pharmacological action
Ascorutinum represents the vitamin drug containing ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and Rutinum (vitamin P).
Use of Ascorutinum allows to reduce fragility and permeability of capillaries, to strengthen a vascular wall, to reduce its inflammation and puffiness. The water-soluble vitamins which are contained in drug take part in exchange of carbohydrates, oxidation-reduction processes, formation of steroid hormones, regeneration and synthesis of connecting fabric. Ascorutinum possesses radio tire-tread (weaken action of radiation on an organism) and antioxidant properties.
Indications to use of Ascorutinum
This drug is appointed in the following cases:
- the lowered receipt or absence in an organism of vitamins P and C;
- defeats of capillaries as a result of use of salicylates and indirect anticoagulants.
According to the instruction, Ascorutinum can be also used as a part of complex therapy of the diseases connected with disturbance of permeability of vessels: eye retinal apoplexies, hemorrhagic diathesis, radial illness, capillary toxicosis, rheumatism, septic endocarditis, glomerulonephritis.

Application instruction of Ascorutinum
Ascorutinum should be accepted orally, to adults and teenagers on 1-2 tablet 2-3 times a day, and to children 3 years – on a half or one whole tablet in days are more senior. The course of treatment usually makes 3-4 weeks.
Purpose of Ascorutinum at pregnancy is authorized, however the doctor has to define the mode of dosing.
Side effects
Reviews of Ascorutinum testify to its good tolerance, however in isolated cases such reactions as are possible: headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach spasms, allergic manifestations. Prolonged use of drug can provoke a sleep disorder, increase in arterial pressure and excitability, formation of stones in urinary tract.
Contraindications to use of Ascorutinum
This drug at hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid and Rutinum is not appointed.
At tendency to fibrinferments and the states which are followed by blood hypercoagulation (high potential of coagulability) care at use of Ascorutinum is necessary.
There are no contraindications for reception of Ascorutinum at pregnancy and during feeding by a breast.
Additional information
In the instruction to Ascorutinum it is specified that the place of storage has to be dry and dark, and air temperature – no more than 250C. The period of validity of drug makes 4 years.
