Goldlayn Plus

Goldlayn Plus is a drug for treatment of obesity. Are a part of drug сибутрамин and microcrystallic cellulose. On the maintenance of a sibutramin in one capsule drug is produced in two dosages – 10 mg and 15 mg.

Goldlayn Plus is the combined drug. Sibutramin is strong substance, however in combination with microcrystallic cellulose does not treat the list of strong drugs and is released according to the recipe of the 107th form.

Pharmacological action

Sibutramin and his metabolites exert impact on the return capture of neurotransmitters – serotonin and noradrenaline in a synaptic gap, at the expense of it the feeling of saturation (the feeling of hunger becomes dull) lasts and heat production increases (thermogenesis increases). As a result of numerous clinical trials it was shown that against the background of reception of a sibutramin the amount of the consumed food is reduced by 20%, and caloric content for 25%. At the same time against the background of strengthening of thermogenesis about 100 kcal a day are in addition spent.

At decrease in body weight against the background of reception Goldlayn Plus is marked out increase in blood of triglycerides of the high density (LPVP), decrease in triglycerides, the general cholesterol, lipoproteids of the low density (LPNP) and uric acid.

Sibutramin has no narcotic effect, at administration of drug accustoming does not develop.

Cellulose microcrystallic is an enterosorbent, has sorption properties and nonspecific disintoxication action. Connects and brings out of an organism various microorganisms, products of their life activity, toxins of the exogenous and endogenous nature, allergens, xenobiotics, and also surplus of some metabolic products and metabolites responsible for development of endogenous toxicosis.

Indications to use

The indication to use Goldlayn Plus are:

• Obesity at BWI (body weight index) more than 30 ^kg/sq.m
• Excess body weight at IMT more than 27 ^kg/sq.m in the presence of associated diseases (a hypertension, a diabetes mellitus 2 types)

Route of administration and doses

Goldlayn Plus is accepted on one capsule a day in the first half of day. Treatment begin 10 mg with a smaller dosage. If within 4 weeks of reception decrease in body weight more than on 2 kg is not reached, pass to a big dosage – 15 mg.

Effect of drug develops gradually within the first month, the maximum effect is observed in 3 months of continuous reception. At the admission of administration of drug it is not necessary to accept a double dose next day.

Goldlayn Plus is recommended to accept a course of 6 months as during this time not only considerable decrease in body weight is reached, but also the correct eating habits form. At the expense of it the partial effect after the termination of administration of drug remains up to 2 years. The maximum duration of reception should not exceed 1 years as there are no data of clinical trials on efficiency and safety of more prolonged use.

Reception Goldlayn Plus should be stopped if the patient badly responds on therapy – if in three months of use decrease in body weight made less than 5%.

It is necessary to remember that Goldlayn Plus is used only in complex therapy together with hypocaloric food and exercise stresses.

Side effects

Generally side effects at reception Goldlayn Plus are observed within the first month of reception, they have not difficult character, do not demand pharmacological correction and independently pass in a month.

The following side effects are generally observed: dryness in a mouth, sleeplessness, a headache, dizziness, concern, increase of cordial reductions, increase in arterial pressure, appetite loss, a lock, nausea, the increased sweating.

Contraindications

• The established hypersensitivity to a sibutramin or to other components of drug;
• Existence of the organic reasons of obesity (for example, hypothyroidism);
• Serious violations of food – nervous anorexia or nervous bulimia;
• Mental diseases;
• Syndrome Gilles de la Turetta (generalized tics);
• Concomitant use of MAO inhibitors (for example, phentermine, fenfluramin, deksfenfluramin, ethylamphetamine, ephedrine)
• Cardiovascular diseases (in the anamnesis or now): coronary heart disease (myocardial infarction (MI), stenocardia); chronic heart failure in decompensation stages, okklyuziruyushchy diseases of peripheral arteries, tachycardia, arrhythmia, cerebrovascular diseases (a stroke, tranzitorny disturbances of cerebral circulation);
• Uncontrollable arterial hypertension (arterial pressure (AP) above
  145/90 mm hg) (see also section "Special Instructions");
• Closed-angle glaucoma;
• Thyrotoxicosis;
• Heavy abnormal liver functions and/or kidneys;
• Benign hyperplasia of a prostate;
• Pheochromocytoma;
• The established pharmacological, drug or alcohol addiction;
• Pregnancy and period of breastfeeding;
• The age up to 18 years is also more senior than 65 years.

Goldlayn Plus it is impossible to use during pregnancy and a lactation as there are no clinical data on safety of influence of a sibutramin on a fruit and the baby. 

Overdose

There are limited data on drug overdose. Most often at the same time tachycardia, dizziness, a headache, increase in arterial pressure are observed. Special treatment and antidotes does not exist. At overdose it is necessary to stop stopping administration of drug for some time and to inform on it the attending physician.

According to the instruction Goldlayn Plus it is necessary to accept if independent attempts to lose weight did not bring notable result – if within three months decrease in body weight made less than 5 kg.

However in certain cases doctors recommend to begin treatment with a combination of a diet and the drugs reducing appetite such as Goldlayn Plus at the initial stage of restriction in consumption of food were transferred by the patient easier and initially the correct eating habits formed.
