Tablets: a round ploskotsilindrichesky form, with slanted edges, white color, inodorous, with an engraving of a logo of firm on one party and "5L" on both sides of dividing risks – on another (on 20 or 50 pieces in polypropylene tubas, in a cardboard pack 1 tuba);
Drops for intake: transparent solution of a little viscous structure, from colourless till yellowish-brown or slightly yellow color (on 15 ml or 30 ml in plastic bottles droppers, in a cardboard pack 1 bottle).

The operating component – sodium of a pikosulfat monohydrate:

1 tablet – 5,187 mg that is equivalent to 5 mg of sodium of a pikosulfat;
100 ml of drops – 750 mg (7,5 mg / 1 ml).

Excipients:

Tablets: magnesium stearate, lactoses monohydrate, silicon dioxide colloid, starch the corn, potato starch hydrolyzed;
Drops: sorbitol liquid (uncrystallizable), Natrium benzoicum, citric acid monohydrate, citrate sodium a dihydrate, the water purified.

Indications to use

Guttalaks's use is shown as a purgative at the following states:

Lock against the background of an atony and hypotonia of a large intestine (including after the delivery and during breastfeeding, at patients of advanced age, after operations, at bed patients);
The lock caused by reception of medicines;
The lock caused by disturbances of a diet, an intestinal dysbiosis;
Regulation of defecation at a proctitis, proctal cracks and hemorrhoids (for a softening of fecal masses);
Syndrome of the angry intestines with dominance of locks, diseases of a gall bladder.

Contraindications

Acute diseases of abdominal organs, including appendicitis;
Intestinal impassability;
Obstructive diseases of intestines;
Severe pains in a stomach with nausea and vomiting of an unspecified etiology;
Acute inflammatory pathologies of intestines;
Severe form of dehydration of an organism;
Children's age up to 4 years (for tablets);
Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Tablets:
It is contraindicated to accept drug in the form of tablets at the rare inherited disorders connected with intolerance of a galactose: deficit of lactase, galactosemia, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption.

During pregnancy (II and the III trimester) drug in the form of tablets is used only on doctor's orders.

To children from 4 to 10 years administration of drug in the form of tablets is admissible only on doctor's orders.

Drops:
Use of drops by patients with intolerance of fructose and in the I trimester of pregnancy is forbidden.

With care, only on doctor's orders, drops apply in II and III trimesters of pregnancy.

Route of administration and dosage

Гутталакс in any dosage form it is intended for oral administration. The recommended dosing:

Tablets (to wash down with enough liquid): to children 10 years and adult – 1-2 pieces, to children from 4 to 10 years – 1/2-1 piece are more senior;
Drops (it is not obligatory to dissolve in liquid): to children 10 years and the adult – 10-20 drops, to children from 4 to 10 years – 5-10 drops are more senior. To children 4 years – 1 drop on 2 kg of weight of the child are younger that corresponds to 250 mkg on 1 kg.

For obtaining laxative effect in the morning tablets and drops need to be accepted the night before.

Side effects

Use of each of dosage forms of Guttalaks can cause side effects:

From the alimentary system: spasms and pains in a stomach, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, feeling of discomfort;
From immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, including skin reactions, Quincke's disease;
From a nervous system: dizziness, a faint which origin vazovagalny reaction can be (for example, spasms in a stomach or tension at defecation).

Special instructions

Without consultation of the doctor more than 10 days in a row are not recommended to accept tablets and drops. Prolonged use in high doses can lead to organism dehydration, cause disturbance of electrolytic balance, a hypopotassemia.

Tablets and drops can be used during breastfeeding.

Influence of drug on reproductive system preclinical trials is not revealed.

Content of lactose in 1 tablet – 67,5 mg: the recommended maximum dose for children of 4-10 years contains 67,5 mg; in a dose for children 10 years and adult – 135 mg of lactose are more senior.

1 ml of drops contains 450 mg of sorbitol. The maximum daily dose recommended for therapy of children of 4-10 years contains 300 mg of sorbitol, for adults – 600 mg.

Use of drug for children of any age has to be carried out only on doctor's orders.

Drops have no tastes, their addition in food to children is allowed.

Clinical trials showed that dizzinesses and faints at the patients accepting Guttalaks are connected with vazovagalny reaction to an abdominal pain which cause the lock can be, but laxative is not obligatory.

Patients have to be warned about possibility of side effects in the form of dizziness and/or a faint. At emergence of strong enterospasms it is necessary to avoid performance of potentially dangerous types of works, including control of vehicles.

Medicinal interaction

High doses of Guttalaks at a concomitant use with diuretics or glucocorticosteroids (GKS) increase risk of development of disturbances of electrolytic balance, a hypopotassemia.

Disturbance of electrolytic balance can lead to increase in sensitivity to cardiac glycosides.

The laxative effect of drug can decrease at a combination to antibiotics.
