General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1 ml ломефлоксацин (in the form of a hydrochloride) 3 mg;

Excipients: глицерол (the glycerin distilled) - 25 mg, dinatrium эдетат - 0.1 mg, a benzalkoniya chloride - 0.1 mg, hydroxide sodium solution 1M - to рН 4.8-5.0, water for and - to 1 ml.

Description: Drops eye 0.3% in the form of transparent or slightly opalescent liquid, colourless or light yellow color.

Pharmacological properties:

Antimicrobic bactericidal drug of a broad spectrum of activity from group of ftorkhinolon (subgroup of diftorkhinolon). Influences bacterial DNK-girazu enzyme, the providing superspiralling, forms a complex with its tetramer (A2B2 giraza subunit) and breaks a transcription and DNA replication, leads to death of a microbic cell. Works bakteritsidno.

the β-lactamelements produced by activators do not exert impact on activity of a lomefloksatsin.

Drug is highly active concerning gram-negative aerobic microorganisms: Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter diversus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter cloacae, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Moraxella catarrhalis, Morganella morganii, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Legionella pneumophila.

Are moderately sensitive to drug: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Serratia liquefaciens, Serratia marcescens, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Chlamydia trachomatis, Hafnia alvei, Citrobacter freundii, Aeromonas hydrophila, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus stuartii, Providencia rettgeri, Providencia alcalifaciens, Klebsiella oxytoca, Klebsiella ozaenae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter agglomerans.

Are steady against drug: Streptococcus spp., Pseudomonas cepacia, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Treponema pallidum, Mycoplasma hominis and anaerobic bacteria.

 

Pharmacokinetics. After instillation on 1 drop of 1 times / within 2 days and 5 drops for the 3rd day of Tmax - 90 min., Cmax - 1 mkg/ml during 2.5 h. Therapeutic concentration in a cornea, a sclera, a century, a conjunctiva and intraocular liquid is reached after 5 instillations on 1 drop with an interval in 5 min. Content in the lacrimal liquid after 1-2 instillations makes: 40-200 mkg/ml - in 2 h, 7-27 mkg/ml - in 6 h and more, 3 mkg/ml - in 24 h.

Indications to use:

— bacterial infections of front department of an eye (conjunctivitis, a blepharitis, blefarokonjyunktivit, including a Chlamidia etiology).

Route of administration and doses:

The adult appoint on 1 drop 2-3 in the lower conjunctival sac within 7-9 days. In an initiation of treatment more frequent use is necessary: 5 drops within 20 min. (on 1 drop with an interval of 5 min.) or 1 drop/h during 6-10 h.

For treatment of Chlamidia conjunctivitis 1 drop of drug is dug in in a conjunctival sac of the affected eye 2-4 within 1-2 months.

Features of use:

During treatment it is necessary to avoid carrying contact lenses.

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms

During treatment it is necessary to be careful at control of vehicles and occupation potentially dangerous types of activity demanding the increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Side effects:

Local reactions: burning sensation; at prolonged use - development of a consecutive fungal infection.

Interaction with other medicines:

There are no data on medicinal interaction.

Contraindications:

— pregnancy;

— period of a lactation (breastfeeding);

— children's and teenage age up to 18 years;

— hypersensitivity to drug components.

Use of the drug LOFOKS® at pregnancy and feeding by a breast
Use at pregnancy is not recommended. At appointment in the period of a lactation breastfeeding should be stopped.

 

Use for children
Drug is contraindicated at children's and teenage age.

Overdose:

There are no data on overdose.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the unavailable to children, protected from light place at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. Not to freeze! A period of validity - 2 years.

After opening of a bottle a period of storage - 1 month.
