Pharmacological properties of the Equator

According to the instruction the Equator is the combined means, it contains амлодипин and lisinopril.

Lisinopril is APF inhibitor. The mechanism of its action is connected with blocking of transformation of angiotensin of II of angiotensin I in renal fabric. It reduces influence of Aldosteronum on water exchange, increases formation of prostaglandins.

Lisinopril reduces arterial pressure at the expense of vasodilatation (arteries extend more, than veins) and reduction of the general peripheric vascular resistance (GPVR). Besides, its influence on heart is expressed that:

• Preloading decreases;
• Pressure in pulmonary capillaries decreases;
• Resistance of a cardiac muscle to loadings increases;
• The minute volume of a blood-groove increases.

Regular long reception of tablets of the Equator improves blood supply of heart and reduces its hypertrophy. It is proved that drugs from a number of APF inhibitors prolong life in the presence of chronic heart failure, slow down development of dysfunction of a left ventricle after the postponed myocardial infarction.

Additional effect of lisinopril is reduction of an albuminuria that allows to recommend it at a combination of arterial hypertension to a diabetic nephropathy, and here it does not influence glucose level absolutely.

Amlodipin – the second compound component of the Equator. This active ingredient from group of blockers of slow calcium channels. Amlodipin reduces transition of calcium ions to cells of smooth muscle fibers. Its influence on cardiovascular system can be described as anti-anginal and anti-hypertensive. The principle of action of an amlodipin in tablets of the Equator is similar to lisinopril – OPSS decreases and blood supply of a myocardium improves.

The combination of two operating means in one drug supplements each other and levels undesirable side effects. So, blockers of calcium channels usually detain in an organism water and sodium, and APF inhibitors, on the contrary, interfere with this process.

Action of the Equator according to the instruction begins in 1 hour, the maximum effect is visible 6 hours later after reception. Medical action of the Equator, according to reviews, remains for days.

Indications to use of the Equator

Drug is appointed in need of a combination therapy in case of the increased blood pressure.

Contraindications

It is impossible to apply the Equator at intolerance it and other APF inhibitors, at a stenosis (narrowing of outlet opening) of an aorta and the mitral valve in case of its hemodynamic importance.

The hereditary and idiopathic Quincke's disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with obstruction, the expressed lowering of arterial pressure (systolic pressure is lower than 90 mm Hg), heart failure after a myocardial infarction, unstable stenocardia, cardiogenic shock, pregnancy and breastfeeding will be contraindications to reception of tablets of the Equator. To children up to 18 years reception of the Equator according to the instruction is not recommended.

Care in use of the Equator is required at a bilateral stenosis of renal arteries, primary hyper aldosteronism, the expressed renal and hepatic dysfunction, after renal transplantation, at a hyperpotassemia.

Application instruction of the Equator

It is necessary to accept drug 1 time a day, in the morning, washing down with water, without binding to meal. During an initial stage of the patient pressure decline against the background of reception of diuretics the day before therefore diuretic prior to treatment by the Equator cancel in 2 – 3 days can disturb.

If use of diuretics nevertheless is necessary, the dose of the Equator is reduced to 0,5 tablets. During a therapy course periodically it is required to control functions of kidneys, the level of potassium and sodium in blood.

Side effects of the Equator

According to reviews, the Equator can sometimes give such undesirable reactions as a headache, dizziness or a tussiculation. They pass independently and do not demand drug withdrawal.
