Entsevir – represents the vaccine which is reliably protecting the person from infection with a virus of a tick-borne encephalitis. Pharmacological action

In the instruction to Entsevir it is specified that this medicine stimulates development of humoral and cellular immunity in relation to a virus of a tick-borne encephalitis. The vaccine Entsevir creates rather high protection against the strains of this virus circulating in Europe and Asia.

Indications to Entsevir's use

According to the instruction Entsevir is used for prevention of a disease of a tick-borne encephalitis. The persons living and coming in adverse on incidence of a tick-borne encephalitis of the place, especially need performing vaccination if they are engaged in performance of construction, agricultural, hydromeliorative, geological and logging works. In addition people whose work is connected with live cultures of a virus also need performing vaccination. The vaccine Entsevir is also used for immunization of donors for the purpose of further receiving from their plasma of specific immunoglobulin.

Contraindications

According to the instruction Entsevir is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • The increased individual sensitivity to this drug;
  • The expressed food allergy, especially on protein of egg;
  • Bronchial asthma;
  • If the previous introduction of a vaccine was followed by development of complications or emergence of the expressed reaction (hypostasis and a hyperemia in an injection site more than 80 mm in the diameter, fervescence are higher than 40 degrees C);
  • Epilepsy;
  • Thyrotoxicosis;
  • Diabetes mellitus;
  • Oncological diseases;
  • Blood diseases.

The vaccine Entsevir should not be used for carrying out immunization of pregnant women. Its introduction, is possible not earlier than in 14 days after the delivery. Also vaccination is not carried out against the background of acute somatopathies or at an aggravation of chronic. The inoculation can be executed only in a month after recovery or achievement of remission.

Side effects of Entsevir

Use of a vaccine Entsevir can be followed:

  • Morbidity, hypostasis of soft tissues and hyperemia (reddening) in the place of an injection;
  • Small increase in regional lymph nodes;
  • Fervescence to 38 degrees With;
  • Headache;
  • Febricula;
  • Joint pain and muscles (arthralgia and mialgiya).

In the instruction to Entsevir it is noted that side effects from this drug can be shown in the first two days after its introduction, and no more than three days remain usually.

The vaccine Entsevir extremely seldom leads to development of allergic reaction of immediate type (an acute anaphylaxis, a Quincke's edema).

Application instruction

Special instructions

Using a vaccine Entsevir it is impossible to allow it at all intravascular introduction since it can lead to development of serious allergic reactions that will demand performing resuscitation and antishock therapy.

After vaccination patients have to remain under observation of health workers about half an hour.

When performing vaccination during the spring and summer period i.e. when high activity of mites is observed, it is necessary to exclude probable contact of the performing vaccination and two more weeks imparted with an infection source for all the time after its termination.

Before performing vaccination imparted without fail it has to be examined by the doctor or the paramedic for identification of possible contraindications. Dosage form
