Kagotsel
Application instruction:
Kagotsel – immunomodulatory and antiviral drug.
Form of release and structure
Kagotsel release in the form of tablets: round, biconvex, from brown till cream color with impregnations (on 10 pieces in blister strip packagings, on 1 packaging in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1 tablet:
- Active agent: kagotset – 12 mg;
- Auxiliary components: calcium stearate – 0,65 mg, potato starch – 10 mg, лудипресс (lactose of direct pressing with structure: monohydrate of lactose, коллидон 30 (povidone), коллидон CL (кросповидон)) – before receiving a tablet weighing 100 mg.
Indications to use
- Flu and other acute respiratory viral infections (treatment and prevention at adults and children of 3 years);
- Herpes (treatment at adults).
Contraindications
- Lactose intolerance, deficit of lactase, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption;
- Age up to 3 years;
- Pregnancy and period of a lactation (breastfeeding);
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Route of administration and dosage
Kagotsel accept inside.
The adult drug is appointed depending on indications:
- Treatment of the acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) and flu: in the first 2 days of reception – 3 times a day on 24 mg (2 tablets), in the next 2 days reduce a single dose twice (only 18 tablets on a course);
- Prevention of a SARS and flu: 2 days of reception – once a day on 24 mg, then a break within 5 days. The cycles for 7 days can be repeated (duration of a preventive course varies from 7 days to several months);
- Treatment of herpes: 3 times a day on 24 mg within 5 days (only 30 tablets on a course).
To children for treatment of a SARS and flu appoint:
- 3-6 years: in the first 2 days of reception – 2 times a day on 12 mg (1 tablet), in the next 2 days – once a day on 12 mg (only 6 tablets on a course);
- Of 6 years: in the first 2 days of reception – 3 times a day on 12 mg, in the next 2 days – 2 times a day on 12 mg (only 10 tablets on a course);
- Children for prevention of a SARS and flu should accept drug courses for 7 days: 2 days – once a day on 12 mg, then a break within 5 days. The cycles for 7 days can be repeated (duration of a preventive course varies from 7 days to several months).
Side effects
During Kagotsel's use there can be side effects which are shown in the form of allergic reactions.
Before Kagotsel's use, and also in cases of development of uncharacteristic symptoms it is necessary to consult at the doctor.
Special instructions
For achievement of therapeutic effect Kagotsel's reception is recommended to be begun not later than the fourth day from the moment of the beginning of a disease.
Kagotsel is well combined with antibiotics, immunomodulators and other antiviral medicines.

During simultaneous use of Kagotsel with antibiotics, immunomodulators and other antiviral medicines the additive effect is observed.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
