Kanesten
Application instruction:
Kanesten – drug for external use of a wide range anti-mycotic and antimicrobic (concerning some gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms) actions.
Form of release and structure
Kanesten release in the following dosage forms:
- Cream for external use of 1%: the homogeneous mass of white color (on 20 g in aluminum tubas, on 1 tuba in a cardboard pack);
- Spray for external use of 1%: transparent solution from slightly yellowish color to colourless (on 30 ml in polyethylene bottles with the doser, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1 g of cream:
- Active ingredient: Clotrimazolum – 10 mg;
- Auxiliary components: sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, the purified water, polysorbate 60, 2 - octyllauryl alcohol.
Is a part of 1 ml of spray:
- Active ingredient: Clotrimazolum – 10 mg;
- Auxiliary components: macrogoal 400, isopropyl myristate, isopropanol.
Indications to use
Kanesten appoint at treatment of fungal infections of mucous membranes and the skin caused by drozhzhepodobny mushrooms, dermatophytes, mold mushrooms, and also other activators sensitive to Clotrimazolum:
- Mycoses of skin folds, brushes, feet, trunks;
- Erythrasma, chromophytosis.
Contraindications
Kanesten do not apply at hypersensitivity to Clotrimazolum or other components of drug.
With care use Clotrimazolum outwardly in the I trimester of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, only when the predicted therapeutic effect considerably exceeds potential risks.
By results of clinical trials of use of means during pregnancy, it is impossible to exclude a possibility of pathological influence of Clotrimazolum on health of mother and a fruit.
Experience of use of drug in pediatric practice is absent.
The raised Clotrimazolum doses applied outwardly do not cause any reactions, life-threatening.
Route of administration and dosage
Duration of a course of therapy is defined by the attending physician individually depending on localization of defeat and disease severity.
Cream for external use of 1%
Kanesten apply outwardly: apply with a thin layer on affected areas of skin then easily rub.
The recommended dosing: 2-3 times a day, from calculation – a strip of cream 1/2 cm long on the surface of skin of the size of a palm.
At treatment of a candidosis balanitis or candidosis vulvitis simultaneous treatment of both partners is required. In this case the cream strip (1/2 cm) at women is applied on a crotch and external genitals, at men – on a prepuce and a balanus, and easily rubbed.
Spray for external use of 1%
Kanesten apply outwardly: spray a thin layer on affected areas of skin 2 times a day.
Achievement of an absolute recovery is observed on average 28 days later from the beginning of therapy by Clotrimazolum. It is not necessary to stop treatment right after disappearance of acute symptoms of an inflammation or subjective complaints.
For full treatment, depending on a disease, it is required:
- Dermatomycoses – 21-28 days;
- Candidosis vulvitis and candidosis balanitis – 7-14 days;
- Various deprive – 7-21 days;
- Erythrasma – 14-28 days.
Side effects
- The general: allergic answers, pain in the place of use;
- Skin: local reactions in the form of rash, an itch.
Special instructions
Use of Clotrimazolum in external genitals at women and men can reduce safety and efficiency of use of latex contraceptives, such as a diaphragm and condom. The effect temporary also arises only during therapy.
Medicinal interaction
Clotrimazolum can reduce effect of other local antifungal means, including such half-yen antibiotics (natural anti-mycotic substances) as натамицин and nystatin.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in the place, dry, dark, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C.
Period of validity – 3 years.
